Unmasked Robocop screams DX treatment. I would be excited for this release however a additional masked head would have to be included.
No getting the the die cast versions so I'm cool!

It obviously wouldn't be PERS on Tony Stark. It would be for the suit.

I know Hot Toys probably doesn't think this way but it'd be kind of cool to get Marty in 2015 at this point if you ask me. For one it would be Back to the Future's 30th Anniversary and obviously the ties to Back to the Future Part II. Would kind of work out well.

Hot Toys didn't give two ****s about Terminator's anniversary, or 1989 Batman (which turns 25) or Star Wars, or poor Indy. Why would they give a duck about BTTF?

Seems like NECA are the only ones that appreciate anniversarys.

Right that's why I said I doubt Hot Toys thinks that way, I was just saying I wouldn't mind if it happened that way considering the fact.

It's a neat idea but it won't happen. Knowing HT's they'll release Marty December 31st 2014

I wonder what the little DX trinket would be for a DX Marty or Doc.

A light up flux capacitor (with wires I'm the box being the foam inserts) or the HUD dates inside the machine would be cool.

Underneath that could be a "when this baby hits 88 miles per hour you're going to see some serious ****" blurb.

Something simple they could do would be the blue translucent receipt from when Marty bought the almanac in Back to the Future Part II. If they're doing a figure from the first film maybe the schematic of the flux capacitor that 1955 Doc showed Marty. The time circuit board would be kind of cool if they could figure out a way to incorporate a light up feature for it (don't know if they'd go that far though).

They only care when another company gets the license or makes a profit for recognizing the anniversary. I think if NECA get Weaver to play ball, HT will follow suit.

I personally feel it wont and shld not be a dx. I also feel that the unmasked head shld have been a part of the die cast release. Its a bit unfair to do what they did ... Took some meaty orders with an nrd for the first 3 weeks and then decided to spring an unmasked head.

True but HT also did this with the DX 13. If you remember just when the DX 10 was shipping HT revealed the DX13 images.

If they do an unmasked version of Robocop it's probably going to be a full blown battle damaged edition (like his appearance towards the end of the film) I'd imagine. So I can see why Hot Toys would do it that way as they get people to buy both. I don't necessarily like it either but it's business. To me if I ever decide to get Robocop I don't care too much about the unmasked look anyways. I like the regular release and the fact that it has some battle damaged pieces you can interchange.

Yes but both were dx, both were loaded. Many of us bought figure and chair for 450 including tax. So that shld supersede to have some level of comprehensivity (for a lack of better word). Can anyone stop them from doing it .. No. But it should not be that ways. For 450 bucks i dont expect my seller to have me shell another 250 bucks just for a head sculpt cause this die cast also has battle damage

I agree and i dont care for the unmasked one as well. I like the die cast and chair option. But to have it as dx, not sure what all kewl things it will come with and that kinda gets me rolling my eyes hence the pain...

I don't know if the chair is worth it to me. I mean the scenes in the film with it are kind of cool but seems like a lot more money to shell out for it in my opinion.
