Hot Toys DX15 - Whats it gonna be

I don't know if the chair is worth it to me. I mean the scenes in the film with it are kind of cool but seems like a lot more money to shell out for it in my opinion.

I know and i dont have any heart felt association with it but it did look kewl. I have a shelf in which typically i put my figures on chair... Godfather, joker, scarface and now will add this one there. So it was more of a collectors preference rather than a story line trigger. Also if the dx is not a die cast i am not interested in it anyways. I want to see how the paint work comes out and also that it would be my first die cast!

I get the feeling around here that unmasked/masked Robocop is not as equal too clean/battle damaged T-800. I was completely amazed when I saw unmasked Robocop back in the days in the theatres and I watched the movie last week and it hold so so strong.

I dunno I can see why some hardcore fans of Robocop might want the mask off with Murphy's face revealed look but for me it's not something that's a deal breaker to not buy the figure that Hot Toys is putting out. Personally I guess I just never really found that look as iconic and more just kind of oddball looking in ways.

I want the masked version and thats why i prefer. But I would be mighty pissed if there was a dx with both sculpts. Wooooo that would be mean. My personal view is that the unmasked would be a mms.

I personally feel it wont and shld not be a dx. I also feel that the unmasked head shld have been a part of the die cast release. Its a bit unfair to do what they did ... Took some meaty orders with an nrd for the first 3 weeks and then decided to spring an unmasked head.

The first one is meant to represent him as per Act 1 & 2. The next figure will be Act 3 specific - it makes complete sense. It also makes sense to give each version it's proper due, not cramming stuff in to save people money - which on the face of it is an understandable point of view (& we could all save money with these things), but honestly.. HT isn't worried about that.. are they.

It goes back to that earlier discussion about 'all in ones'. Certain characters they won't be doing again may get it - but why would they forgo the opportunity to double dip - especially if it's a license that is much beloved. Why didn't they cram DX10 & 13 together?

Short answer IMO; specific versions need their due - DX or not. They're also excellent milking fodder.

But I agree, we don't need another Bane at this point. He should have been a DX to begin with, but since they didn't, its time to move on to different Batman stuff like Arkham and Returns.

Someone on here back when I first joined said that Bane was originally planned to be a DX, but the PERS really messed the sculpt off. Which is odd considering how PERS has messed a few likenesses up and Hot Toys still released it.

The MMS Bane is pretty well done, and I think the likeness is pretty spot on. Maybe in a few years they can do a Toy Fair EX which a different version. I'm still thinking we will see some sort of Batman related figure in 2015 for Batman Begins 10th year anniversary. Maybe a Begins suit DX?

I'm still thinking the DX15 will be Anakin. Now since both the DX13 and DX14 have already been released, we could see the announcements for DX15 and DX16 very close together. Has that happened before?

That would certainly make a lot of collectors happy (including me - would toatally be down for one). Dream team would be a dual announcement advising that DX15 and 16 would be Anakin and PS Termie.
