Wow, great job on that "poncho" First Blood Rambo! Where did you get the material to make it from Voorhees27? I want to make one just like that for my First Blood Hot Toys Rambo after I get him. What did you use for that makeshift belt? Some yarn, or string? Let me know. Thanks! Once again awesome job! :D

LOL, I went to Fabric Land and found a meter of this fabric for like 83 cents, I had to wipe the garage floor with it to get it the way it is. I used some rough string for his belt, you can buy a spool from almost anywhere I think.

Still I want to dirty the poncho some more. I would recommend checking out a fabric store near you and get it to match the head band already on the head sculpt. A potatoe butlap sack wont work I doesn't match the headband.

Be careful so you wont overdo the dirty look on it,i think it looks perfect the way it does allready.

Okay, thanks. I have Linens 'N Things, and a few other stores like that that carry fabric like this. I had thought that burlap would work, but I'm happy to hear that it doesn't! That would have been tough to cut to fit the size of the 1/6 scale Rambo! Thanks again for the tips and help. I'll get that fabric after I've got my own First Blood Rambo. It's the last one I need until the green army jacket "casual" Rambo comes out. When is that one due out again? Let me know if you know.

October,i would recommend to use that head on this Rambo with the Poncho,he didnt wear the head bandana before the last part were he sat up the traps in the woods.

Yes that is right, I CAN'T WAIT to get the Army Jacket First Blood figure, other than Trautman i'm all caught up until that one. It is going to be the icing on my Rambo cake I tell ya!

Man Hot Toys is absolutely the best! Nothing compares!

Mike I was telling rock83 when you find the right fabric make sure to cut these dimensions:

12" X 4" then right in the middle of the fabric you need to cut a cross shape (+) for his neck to go through. After that the rough rusty looking string is nedded to tie at his waist in a tight double knot.

Make sure to dirty it up a bit too, I recommend the garage floor and oil! Just a bit of engine oil.

Good luck man, post pics when the time comes.

My Rambo III fig arrived today and he's awesome! As cool as the fig is though I do have a few complaints:

4. There is not desigated slot for the boot knife, and it looks cheasy just poking out of the boot.

Ok, I know it probably sounds like I hate the fig, but I don't, I love it. I just think for $100+ the things I mentioned above should not be an issue.

There is a designated spot on the back of his belt.

Belt is inaccurrate to the film though; the complaint is valid. When Rambo first breaks into the Russian fort and is about to get Trautman out, Trautman warns him of someone coming behind him and Rambo draws his knife from his boot, just the same as in Rambo: First Blood Part 2. The only knives from the back of his belt were in 2 and were smaller knives.

I never said it was accurate. I just said there's a place to put it on the back of the belt.

Your use of designated with a quote referring to the film accurrate boot location being designated read like an implication that the knife belonged in the back holster, so that's why I made the comment.

Nope. My use of quote was a response to the statement that there's no place to put the knife. Just saying the belt is made to hold the knife on the back. Weather one wants to put it there or in the boot is there choice.

Indeed, one of their worst nightmares.
