You've never aplogized! You were called out for being the racist that you are, you've danced around the fact that you truly are racist, and you've blamed everyone else but YOURSELF.

I was willing to drop this, but obviously other people here saw the flaws in your verbage about the Clubber Lang sculpt. All people want from you is an "I'm sorry," but you can't be man enough to type those words. You rather point fingers and call people insecure whiners. I think we all know where the problem lies.

I hope the Mods don't ever erase these posts. In fact, I think they would have already, but they see the value of this argument. You only want it erased because it show's what a bigot you are! There's a lesson here: People need to be accountable for what they say.

And quit calling me your f*cking pal! I'm not your "pal".

You know sladesuperagent, you can go around reading into other people's words what you want to hear or you can try to give them the benefit of the doubt.

I belive the comment, in this context -- although insensitive -- was innocent enough. And I think Decadantdave's appology should be accepted. We often compare figures and their shortcomings to animals on this board. Are the comments about Luke and his monkey arms racist? Clearly, they are not. Likewise, in my view, and in this day and age, there is nothing inherently racist about what decadentdave said. In this context, you have to bring racism to the comment to see an offense.

Twenty years ago, I would have agreed with your premise that anyone who would dare compare a sclupted likeness of a black man's lips to a monkey's has to be a racist pig. As part of an interactial couple in the 80's I had my share of being descriminated against from both whites and blacks in high school. I know how a simple comment can expose someone's agenda. But that was twenty years ago. Times change just as ideas change -- and as the meaning of words change.

And if you feel Decadantdave is pointing the finger at you accusingly, he should be. You called him a racist. That's a very serious accusation and one that shouldn't be used lightly. If you got your feelings hurt because of his post, you should accept some of the responsability for that yourself. He was insensetive, true, but you were more than willing to read into as an attack.

Dude, referring to a black person (even in toy form) as having "monkey-anything" is f*cking straight-up racist. I pity you, fool.

If we can refer to a white person's toy form as "monkey-anything" as in monkey armed Luke but not a black person's toy, then that is a racist double-standard.

Talk about the pot calling the kettle black (no pun intended :lol ).

I apologized. What more do you want? Special treatment? Give them an inch and they take a mile...

That includes you too, bub.

You're right. I hope they keep them to show what an insecure, self-centered hypocrite you are.

And quit calling me your f*cking pal! I'm not your "pal".

You got it, bub.

...............

......and that's exactly how I feel about the whole thing, too.

Moving right along...

In the interests of peace on the board, I suggest sladesuperagent and decadentdave each go to their user control panel and put one another on their respective "ignore" lists. That way you won't even see each other here until you decide you want to once again.

How about those Hot Toys Stallone & T figures, eh?

I hope something interesting is in tonights newsletter... been kinda boring the last couple of weeks for me :monkey2

Thanks everyone for their comments. I agree, in retrospect, I think I was a little oversensitive about the comparison. No one wants a board with PC mongers *****ing about this and that. I apologize for turning this into civil rights lesson. My passion for equality for ALL overshadowed good sense. The world thrives on real, intellectual debate and I think both decadentdave and I would much rather put our energies elsewhere. Consider the matter dropped.

I received my "First Blood part 2" John J Rambo in the post this afternoon and it truly wipes the floor with any other action figure i ve ever seen.It s a work of art in all aspects from the packaging right down to the figure himself.Sorry, but those who say you ca nt match a prototype to the finished article should do themselves a favour and invest in this bad boy.Fantastic piece of work.Everybody involved in that can be very proud of themselves.
This has to be the new standard in 1/6 figure design.

If Superslade and Decadentdave are okay with this - I'll leave the these posts. If they or others insist on continuing this topic, then I'll need to delete the posts.

I really don't like how the rubber skin bunches up around the boots on these guys though.

The rubber skin around the boots bugged me too, but I wasn't sure if that is always a problem. I've also heard a lot of reports of the rubber bodies tearing at the joints.

I like how the rubber body looks - we've seen no evidence of decay over time except what has happened to some Barbies and Joes with rubber skin.

The posability it a bit limited by the rubber, but there are click joints inside rather than just bendy wire - so you can get them in a lot of poses. Haven't tried the drawing an arrow to shoot with him yet though.

Good to know about the clicking joints... I had wondered how the joints would hold up with the extra resistance.

I like the rubber body a lot but it does restrict the posablity of it. A friend of mine broke his Rambo part 2 and it couldn't be fixed. You can't "repair" it the way you can other dolls. He tried but it was very difficult. It's an aesthetically pleasing body but just have to be mindful of its limitations.

As for Rocky, eh whatever.

Give me Apollo Creed with the Uncle Sam get-up any day.

The right arm on my muscle body broke. The thing was, I was trying to bend it to the same position that the left arm was already in, and barely half way, the arm snapped! You'd think that the resistance you first encounter is nothing since you know (or rather, think) that it could bend further based on the left arm. The funny thing was, the right hand was holding a diecast BBI pistol, and the whiplash of the rubber sent it flying half way across the room! Peeking into the little holes that can stretch (I used one of those ear scopes that have a light in them), the "skeleton" is made out of a clear plastic, which evidently doesn't have the strength of the clear acrylic you can get at the hobby store. Tip: if there's resistance, STOP!!!!
