@professorratigan you make excellent points and observations, and I agree wholeheartedly.

I for one am revelling in this influx of Burton/Schumacher merchandise at the moment, and I’m very glad HT has decided to join in with the Schumacher stuff too. Those character designs make for very eye-catching figures indeed.

This Mr Freeze is going to be an attention stealer on my figure shelf for sure!

My biggest criticism for this release, aside from the paint-- is that they didn't give us a grinning/open-mouth sculpt. Those blue-lit teeth are iconic for this version, and I wish this had that feature.

It definitely would’ve been nice to have a sculpt with a smirk, since Freeze was actually very expressive in the movie, and it would’ve added some more personality to the sculpt. But I can understand why they chose the expression they did.

I wonder if HT would make the robed version -- with real fluffy Polar Bear slippers? The SooSoo Toys version is fantastic... so maybe the market for that version is already... cooled.

Hot Toys would obviously love nothing more to upset Jazzinc, they don't care about giving fans new things at this point, it's past that, it's pettiness. Which is why I'll continue to endlessly support 3rd parties as well.

Also, this is MMS 800.

In an era where the centennial MMS numbers (repeatedly) go to Star Wars or Iron Man figures, I'm flabbergasted that HT gave it to this figure from Batman & Robin, of all movies. Either they don't care about numbering anymore (unlikely), or this is the beginning of them trying to make a statement to JazzInc and the other third party license competitors.

I'm passing on this, but it's a phenomenal looking figure. On the upside, the SooSoo robed version is getting a re-release (never thought I'd see the day where I want a robed Freeze figure lounging on an ice chair).

This is a time of huge Batman news every week. We haven't seen this kind of love for Batman 66/Burton/Schumacher in... well, for the entire MCU era.

My concerns with all those clear plastic parts are yellowing and cracking. Clear plastic seems to be more fragile for some reason.
