I have yet to see anything that ever refers to them as "jajuja".

But yeah regarding the film, I thought it was decent the first time I saw it, then on the second viewing, decided it was to be ranked at the bottom of my list of Predator films.

On the upside Predators, the 2010 film, comes across better now. Little to no stupid humour and at no point did the Predator hounds cough up grenades at the bad guys. If you're opposed to the idea of the 'biggerer' Predator, the idea of any Predator allying with humans or the presence of Topher Grace it would still suck though.

every movie where a predator allied with humans sucks.
avp, avpr, rodrigators and now the shaneblackator.

Wolf never teamed up with the humans in AvPR and Classic in Predators didn’t technically team up with humans either. All he did was not killing the humans and went after his captors. The only one that teamed up with a human was Scar. Fugitive didn’t seem like he was teaming up humans until the late stupid plot twist.

I think the only teamup that really counts is Scar and Lex. As they were actually a team, fighting as a team with one clear goal. Classic choosing to fight Berserker was independent of Royce wanting to flee in the ship. It was just coincidence that Classic bought Royce time to escape. It even considered killing Royce after he let it down. Wolf never teamed with the Humans, our humans were shooting at Wolf every chance they got, Wolf used one of them as bait for a Xeno by hanging him and then he killed the lead girl. Fugitive...... ugh what a mess. He never teamed with any human, he wanted them all dead. Every single one he seen. He massacred. Except plot dictates he was on our side in concept.

Random question as we are on the human/Predator interaction ambiguity, when Anna escaped and Hawkins was chasing her, the Predator killed Hawkins. But did anybody else get the vibe that the Predator was actually not only looking at it as a chance to kill a separated Hawkins but also let Anna escape her captor? Whenever i get watch the movie i always get the vibe the Predator was intent on helping her escape. I know it was never a factor in the movie, but that scene has always stood out to me as being the one real show of him being a nice guy. ( independent of the "honor" only killing armed men, or fist fight with arny. but actually going out of its way the help another )

you both are talking about teaming up with humans .
i said "allied with humans". it's a bit different, as i understand.
going against common enemy blah blah blah. every time they used that plot, it sucked, because predators are only interesting in a movie when they are an unavoidable threat to protagonists, otherwise they turn into star craps rubber heads.

BTW i just watched the predaturd 2018 for the second time in an attempt to understand what they wanted to say. it's still absolutely meaningless and dumb. zero plot at all.
the dumbest thing was that ironmeh suit in the end. Harold predator had a super weapon and tried to hide it from Stripper predator instead of using it against him. very clever.

The only way I see any of us liking this biggerer, badderer Predator concept is if the regular Predator is actually the main protagonist and ****ing wins in the end for a change. Turn the tables on the Predator and make him the underdog ala Dutch, OK fine, but y'know, Dutch won.

Stop killing the 'hero' Predators!

Well, he also activated the ship by remote. It seemed like he knew what Royce had in mind. And it's not like he specifically went after Berserker. It could have been that he was going to actually just leave with Royce but Berserker showed up. Seems they would have been ****ed anyway though because Berserker was able to detonate the ship from the ground.

I can't say I've ever read it that way. I think he was indifferent to Anna. She was just there.

Agreed.

Agreed. Regarding the Royce and Classic interaction, I never saw it as anything more than a fair trade of "cut me down, and I'll let you live." Like a-dev mentioned, it could be that Classic had intentions to leave with Royce and Berserker happened to show up, but that's merely a "what if" scenario to me without any empirical evidence to really substantiate it. If he had started running with Royce towards the ship and then Berserker showed up and Classic turned back and went after Berserker, then that would be enough to support that, but Classic's individual intentions to me are kind of vague and unknown after Royce cut him down. So as I mentioned, all I can go off of is what is seen, which is simply a "cut me down, and I'll let you live" scenario.

I can't say I've ever read it that way. I think he was indifferent to Anna. She was just there.

Wolf never allied with any humans. He killed them indiscriminately as they tried to kill him. I don't consider Classic not killing Royce as allying with him cause like SilverStar said, Classic only let Royce live cause he cut him down so he can go after Berserker. Not even worth mentioning Fugitive's stupid motive. So as far as I'm concerned, the only ally or team up was Scar and Lex.

semantics.
they all were trying to achieve the same goal with human prey who were hunted by common enemy, making them allies, which is a 180 degree turn from predators as an enemy.
and all those movies sucked.

Actually you are probably right there, i just recalled the last time i watched the movie Hawkins was inadvertently aiming the gun at Anna when he had caught up to her and asked her to please stop running. But i just watched the part of the movie there and every time it switches to predavision he is 100% fixated on hawkins.

So i stand corrected.

Said the man in the orthopaedic shoes

Or.....what if there was a mix of all....

Say modern time, a group of special forces in Afghan etc is kidnapped like in Predators 2010 and taken to a game planet. However, while being hunted by normal preds, an upgrade pred shows up dishonored and banished from his clan decided to do the genetic upgrading to be able to overpower all other predators. The humans now caught in the middle between regular preds hunting them and a upgrade hunting them and the normal preds.

Finale, a wolf pred style predator shows up to take out the upgrade, and erase all evidence that there was an upgrade (as in kill all the humans and normal preds too) all witnesses!

Is this dead? What are the chances HT releasing this?

I would say its dead. The movie didn't do very well and HT is very consumed right now with Star Wars and Marvel. If this were going to happen I think we would have seen a PO go up for this by now.

And Elder Predator from AVP1 is so popular to make several versions of? It will most likely sell.
