I think when Spider-Man swings with his legs apart like that, he tilts his hips to the side in order to achieve that pose I think you're going for. The Hot Toys body is ideally built for a Spider-Man physique, but I don't think there's any body on the market right now that can achieve the McFarlane Spidey poses. That guy broke every law of realistic anatomy, and I feel he didn't do it on purpose.
:devil

Gdb, that pic of the three HT figures on the phone is hilarious!:rotfl

Do you guys think that I could place my SS Anakin head on this new body? Would it be an easy head swap, do you think?

From what I hear in the Star Wars forum it's an easy switch, all you need to do is warm the head with a hair dryer or hot water. But they suggest that a little glue be used to secure the head. Personally I wouldn't use superglue, maybe a little hot glue would work?
Also The arm and hand would need more extensive modifications to work on the HT body.

Thanks man. I will look into this for Anakin and Luke. Like you guys, I just don't like the bodies SSC use. Not up to par with the new stuff.

True, the closest is something like this...

But the Hot Toys body can do a variety of cell phone poses...

And also the author's book jacket pose...

GDB, you are the figure posing master!!! I love your pictures. I think I might start saving them on my harddrive!!!

Cheers,

Brad

Thank you, Brad. I aim to please (pun intended)!

Where is the best place to buy these? I got to get a couple for some head switching:naughty
Also, which is better for Sideshow bodies: Caucasian or yellow body?

I think in keeping with the colour sideshow generally use the yellow would be suitable. The caucasian is more "orangey" . I've got 2 of the orangey one's and I'll display the figures I intend changing with long sleeves to hide the colour difference .

I actually think caucasian Sideshow bodies are quite pale. I purchased one of each, for the head sculpts too. I will repaint the arms to match whatever skintone the head sculpt has.

Watched pots never boil.

I watched a pot boil once. Then I went into a forest and heard a tree fall when no one was there to hear it.

It was a good way to spend an afternoon.

Even when these start showing up you still may need to wait a little longer if you ordered from Good Stuff To Go. It's been my experience that they get their stuff a little after everybody else does. Not sure about preorders though.
