So wait a minute, you go on about how ^^^^ this alien is, but you keep the "talented artist - Joseph Tsang" bit? Obviously you don't think he is THAT talented. Really, maybe you should focus your time on constructive criticism like others, rather than just saying it's horrible, etc.

Yes, he's a great artist. His ARTISTIC INTERPRETATION of an Alien is great.

Look through my collection. I have no problem with an "artistic" take on the original Alien.

BUT...as has been stated NUMEROUS times throughout this thread...we wanted what the Hot Toys Predator fans wanted, when HT released the original Predator, AND what I'm sure you expected of your Hot Toys RE5 figures...ACCURACY!!

An ACCURATE sculpt of the original Alien...he did not provide.

Maybe you should take the time to read everything everyone has written before jumping right in there Slick.

for now, while i like it yet see the inaccuracies, I take comfort in the fact it says "product shown is not final" on the pictures and in the description. I know it usually says that but still...i feel hope that they will make this a great Alien collectible.

Well I kind of laughed when I read HT's info on the alien . But hopefully w/their response to Wokster on page 38. I am hoping they will make the necessary changes.

I guess no one else should contact HT because we don't want to upset them w/our corrective concerns.....

OK, I asked HT about the figure, the answers are red, here's the replies-

1- Is that the final product that you have shown?
>>> Nope, we're still improving on it

2- People think these things need revision-

A- Shape of eye sockets
>>> Will check

B- Colour- too brown need to be greyer/blacker
>>> I've seen the proto, it is grey/black, no brown at all, it's because of the lighting.

C- Shape of mouth is too open when relaxed.
>>> this is just the prototype, the articulation is still under development!

So, it looks like we can reast assured that it's being worked on!

I bet the teeth and "eyes" and extra thumbs get improvements before release. We can hope. As for the calves, not sure if they can now. They bother me least of all. At least the colors look better.
But seriously, I will so take this figure! I want his dome less clear, and that will fix the eyes anyway. I have NEVER been a fan of those anyhow. Mine will be obscured from day one.

great to hear, I had doubts but I'm going to pick this guy up. I really don't think that hot toys would change marcus headsculpt and recall the john connor if they didnt actually listen. the eyesocket change should be easy as pie, it's just a minor resculpt. I bet the extra mandibles aren't even in the proto yet, there are no shots with it visible and you'd think they'd want to show it off if its ready. The color is perfect imo, especially compared to the real suit in similar lighting. Just change the skull and the teeth on the mouth and I'm more than happy. I can live with the thumb issue too and the calves is really easy to get over, but just for the love of god fix the skull and teeth and you'll guarantee high sales.

hasnt history tought us NOT to get HT things based on proto pics coz they will dissapoint you...
furthermore... all their past Aliens have been famous for tears, broken joints and paint peels....

Then they will release a DX Giger Alien a few months later just to piss you off.

I would just wait for the actual product pictures to surface...

Man, I wish the DX line never existed, every time and HT figure comes out now the conspiracy suspicions start immediately, looks great but the DX will be better.

There's nothing to DX about the Alien, it doesn't have accessories, the only thing they could possibly due is sculpt a significant diorama scene to display it in, fully sculpted, no cardboard.
