The hands are very wrong......he has two thumbs....not one.
Can't Hot Toys ever do an accurate Alien sculpt?

It will be poseable... but probably not to the level of past Alien figures, which is understandable given the design of the suit.

But no matter what, the eye sockets ruin this otherwise great sculpt for me.
Personally I think it gives it a sort of manga or cartoony look ...
whatever, it doesn't look like Giger's style at all, to me it looks just wrong (yes, so does my lame ass photoshoped pic)

I remember seeing the Kenner one in a toy store in New York, and being in awe at the level of details for a toy of that time. I got the Kenner Boba Fett instead, thinking I'd get the Alien at a later time. And then it became impossible to find.

When HT announced it, I thought that after all these years my search for the perfect xenomorph was finally over...
well not really if they release it with that head.

I think you were on the right track... making the eyes more round, than looking like the are scrunched together is what is needed. Just going a bit overboard gave him a surprised look

Thanks a lot. If they fix the mouth and calves, I'll be happy... I can fog up the dome to make the eyes a non-issue.
Of course, I'd love to see to ultimate accurate alien, but it seems that won't happen.

They are pretty close though, the colour is beautiful and if they change the eyes, mouth and hands it will be perfect as far as I'm concerned. I don't really care about the ox jaws.

Why would they make a figure like this if they know only 30% are going to buy it as opposed to if it had a correct face?

Yeah you'd think anyone who has seen the movie at least once could see that the mouth, hands and eyes are totally wrong...

I think that anyone who cares enough about the film to want to buy this piece would notice the very obvious discrepancies... I wonder how well their 1/4 bust was received?
