Hot Toys Giger Alien

Doesn't look like Gigers' Alien. Body looks good but that head, shoulders and color are WAY off. Why is it HT can give us almost perfect Predators yet Aliens are almost always way off the mark? I love Predators but will always love the design of Aliens more. Just frustrating.

This first photo is a big disappointment for me so far. I was really hoping for the best 1/6th Giger Alien yet produced.

But something's just not right there, and I have every hope that HT will correct the problems as they have done with certain figures in the past.

Holding out final judgement until I see the official HT photos.

Maybe this is just a bad psych-out tease.

I'm guessing the colour won't be that brown, however if you checked out the pics on the Giger suit auction web-site you'll see there was quite a bit of brown goin on!

I'm pretty damn excited by this one, the Medi is still a very cool figure, but I think this will pose like a dream and the scale will be in better keeping!

i had that at one time....it was totally bad ass. sadly it broke down & started oozing gel so i pitched it...... i kept the head for a long time but eventually it got lost.

So why did they put the head that should have been on the dog alien on this one? Seriously that face is more like what the dog alien should have looked like and not the fish-mouthed thing we got.

Apart from the shape of the body this, as I feared, looks nothing like the original alien.

I'm going to find it very hard to pull the trigger on this one. And they've definitely made it brown. Flash photos eliminate shadows which is why I usually hate them - but they do tell a true story when it comes to colour - and this thing is clearly brown..and thus wrong.

Also, the brown color is a bit weird, but maybe it will have an alternate version like the Alien Warrior had.

Sorry, the head and shoulders is just so wrong in that picture. This can't be the Giger ALIEN.

As others have said, the body sculpting is excellent, but the colouring is wrong, and the face and dome are just awful!

You guys are nuts. Face and color are wrong, but the shoulders and the rest of the head are dead right.

Cuz just one of those things wiped out my entire crew in less than 24 hours and if the colonists have found that ship there's no telling how many of them have been exposed. Do you understand?

It's not even announced yet. There are no official images. That might not even be the final prototype. The world is crashing down on us. Do you feel the pressure?

Good lord the paint is totally WRONG! He should be dark gray. The brown makes him look like the one from from Alien3.

Ya Im a little shocked how stoked a lot of you are about that pic.. I think the paint is wrong and the head is way off. Not feeling it at all..
So far Neca is the best Alien.

For some reason whenever I think of that quote I always end up going into a quote from an earlier scene! - "We homed in on-its-beacon"....and found something never recorded once in over 300 surveyed worlds....

Sculpt looks ok... don't like the mouth at all, and I hope they fix the color...
At least it looks like it'll be better than any of the other HT Aliens...

The overall colour and the mouth are arguably the worst things they could possibly get wrong to really seperate this figure from the film creature. And they've done just that as far as we can tell from this pic.

Obviously we need more pics not to mention confirmation that what we're looking at here isn't some early early early prototype that has since saw many changes. So far though my wallet is relieved...I would not buy the figure as pictured. I think I've learned that lesson after buying the Aliens warrior and the dog alien whose ''awesomeness'' does not extend beyond the initial "Look at my cool new toy!!!"

Definitely an improvement. No helping the fact that the mouth - one of the most iconic parts of the Alien - looks completely wrong though. And the dome should have that white cloudy effect which it doesn't appear to have in the pic.

looks awesome mouth looks weird and the dome isnt cloudy but its a good attempt. definate buy.
