Looks ok, I mean it looks like it should but.......I think I will stick with the rescue version which is much cooler IMO.

For those that really like this so far and are most likely ordering it, is what makes you like it the fact that it looks like the original comic Cap or b/c you like those scenes in the movie or both?

Definitely for love of the film. It captures the 1940's style in all its innocence and corniness. I really want a smiling headsculpt though to finish off that feel (even if I have to commission a custom head).

I mean this would be a complete joke as a comic book representation. It looks like cheesy cosplay. In fact some cosplay costumes are much more sophisticated.

lol no one is going to get this, looks really poorly done and besides this wouldn't even be consider imporant to someone collecting Captain america figures, since you already got the first avenger version and the upcoming avengers movie version which has a unmasked head sculpt and that half-ass rescue verison is also not worth it.

People actually liking this more than rescue Cap? To each their own, bad on HT not making it 2 in 1.

I agree this costume should have been included as a second attire to the rescue version, I can't see this even selling 1 figure lol, since there is already 1 cap figure out and 2 more will be released soon.

I'm mostly interested because it is the closest we'll get to a high end 1/6 scale comic styled Cap anytime soon. But the goofiness is also kind of charming, and I think I will put him on a shelf with '66 Batman and Robin, and maybe even Reeve Superman ( :panic: ). Even though Avengers Cap looks more like Blue Beetle, this costume better represents the essence of Blue Beetle. I'll get both of those figures, btw.

Looks goofy .....

When's the pre order? :lol :D

This is glorious.
Awesome!!!!!
So bought! :panic:

This is a must buy for me.

The likeness is perfect.

Count me in, Hot Toys
.

The costume is so absurdly cheesy that it is wonderful.
Edit: I wish he was smiling like in the war bonds poster. Chris Evans has a lovely smile also.

Holy ____ that's gorgeous. As close as we're going to get on a comic figure from HT. Bought!

This is the Cap I have been waiting for. I'm glad I didn't pre-order the Rescue version because I'd be scrambling to cancel it now.

Was waiting for this one. Bought.

Hmmmmm....:dunno:wave

I'm going to have to see the official pics for this. As much as I love Cap, I'm not digging what I'm seeing. Congrats to those that like him though. I'm sticking with Rescue, FA, and Avefers Cap for the movie display

Colors need to be darkened, mainly the blue. Also, a smiling sculpt would be nice for some variation. Evans was never really stern faced during this scene. He either had a smile or a smirk.
