Please don't take any offense Tom, as none was intended. I was just laughing at the idea of a HT gonk droid walking away from my display. The possibility of making it happen isn't crazy, but personally I don't think there is any chance in hell hot toys will do this. Then again if somebody told me that hot toys would be doing a gonk last week I probably would have called them a fool.

Now you've made me LOL at the thought of buying a $200 action figure that then walks away from your display!

Nostalgia though. This is the Kenner droid. Pulling at the heartstrings of the 40 somethings.

The droid on the Kenner cardback is the one in the sandcrawler.

The droid on the Kenner cardback is the one in the sandcrawler.

It looks like the Kenner is a hybrid of both that one and the one at the house. The one on the sand crawler has nothing on top not the white stripe but Kenner does.

Last year they showed Boba and Leia at SDCC. Boba went up for pre-order sometime in mid August I think. And Leia in late July, but some figures have taken longer to go up for pre-order so there's no clear rule.

Thank you. Yeesh! That's a long time....oh well, time to start saving.

It looks like the Kenner is a hybrid of both that one and the one at the house. The one on the sand crawler has nothing on top not the white stripe but Kenner does.

I'm not sure how I never drew the connection between the one in the house and the figure.

That isn't the Sandcrawler Gonk. The Sandcrawler one had a flat top and concave square in the front.
