Not really, considering they made 4 figures from his "team"... Tony got zip.

Somehow I don't see this one being half retail price anytime soon like Tony, either.

Agreed. Definitely keeping an eye on this one to see how it came out.

The last “upcoming releases” photo was two months ago and they have yet to completely release those yet, so Star-Lord here could still be 2-3 months out.

The time when we had two heads, a base in a 250$ DX version seems really really far away.
For me a Star Lord without the helmet is an Iron Man with only a Robert Downey Jr head. Pointless.

completely agree. I think the reason is that all the gotg3 figures were rushed out pretty quickly and HT probably had access only to certain materials from the film.

Plus HT sucks.

Star-Lord didn’t have his helmet in the third film, so far as I can recall. But at least he’s $270 and not $300.

I wonder if the area around the holster is pleather, that would be really dissapointing considering this might be the last Star Lord figure we could be getting. I hope it's just rubber or vinyl.

Hot Toys has been on a roll with Marvel headsculpts recently (Peter Parker, Shuri, Mantis for example all being excellent) so I'm fully expecting this one to turn out just as amazing as the proto

Will definitely pick this up but not sure if I will add the headsculpt to Infinity War version, justification is it kind of works loosely as a Christmas Special representation? I like my Star-Lord hovering and he has no rocket boots on the Vol 3 figure. Hopefully the pegs are compatible...

How much was the deluxe Star Lord from Guardians vol 2 (MMS421) ? With 3 outfits options (jacker, long coat, red shirt and jetpack), 2 heads (human and helmeted) and 1/2 helmet that you can put on the human head for a third look.
And of course the hands (with or without gloves), the walkman and headphone.
I don't remember the retail price but I've got him for less than 250$

And here 270$ for...one suit, one head.
Maybe he doesn't have the helmet in the movie but if they want to charge that much, it could have been cool as an extra option for the customer's money. The also already have the mold for the helmet.
Another head with another expression is maybe a bit much to ask.

I got him for $240. Everything is exponentially more expensive now post covid.

i like what i see and i grabbed him real quick from KGHobby for a good price. Only thing i don't like is the lack of accessories and the big ass headphone chord, which looks out of scale. Otherwise, can't wait to get him.
