Unfortunately I think you're right.
I'm yet to see EG (not even seen a trailer yet) so I'm unaware of Thors look in the film but I think this may have been the last one we'll get & I'll be forever kicking myself for not grabbing him now...thing is it's not like I haven't had long enough lol

I think I just assumed that like all the other movies we were bound to get another or this one wouldn't sell out period.

Sadly I think I'm wrong on both counts now ;)

Yep, and the part that makes me laugh at myself is that I had the figure in my cart for a couple weeks now and figured since it was still available, I’d wait to see if Endgame would yield a better version of it - I figured he’d look relatively the same, but maybe a better sculpt. Thing is, I was so diligent about avoiding spoilers and had I not been, I reckon I’d have scooped up this figure before it sold out heh.

I really like the sleeveless, capeless look, particularly with the eyepatch.

so how's the update on the bad tomato axe? its still bending ? which version is better electronic or regular plastic?

I dont want to lose all hope since it could be true that the embargo is set until May 5 so they may yet reveal him. I mean he had such a big role more then hulk and black widow so it would suck not to see him get made, I am just jaded when it comes to hot toys not making figures last year it was valakaryie it would have been a nice complement to the ragnarok line and there are several other figures which they previewed but never showed. In this case I would hope they would at least make his Infinity War look since its the same they basicly did that with Dr strange and he had a slight change to his Cape. But you never now they showed a bunch of character for infinity war but they never got made and they had the stands for them and everything.

But I am not sure what they plan on doing post avengers and star wars as the basicly make on average 2 figures or less from their other licences .

I would wager vast sums of money that Hot Toys Endgame Thor is gonna happen.

I think it's cute that people are legitimately posting in threads that HT will have some restraint when it comes to Marvel and NOT do a character variant. Forget the amount of Thors we already have, look at Iron Man! :lol

The main reason why they haven't done it already is because Marvel was keeping it close to the vest, which is why all the toys out so far look based concept art that was obviously wrong. Once the film is out for a bit, you'll it released and posed next to Cap and IM as a trinity styled thing, wouldn't be shocked if Cap's accessory isn't his broken shield.

I think it's possible that details on some figures were not provided to toy manufacturers to prevent any spoilers. If that's the case, it may be a while before we see EG Thor.

I think it was 100% intentional not to provide accurate details to stop toy makers from spoiling things. So many filmmakers have been complaining about the merchandising aspect ruining certain things in the films especially around superhero films so I guarantee you it was a way to appease both sides to give them conceptuals. I don't think we'll see an EG Thor for a few months probably not earlier than SDCC.

From what I hear the non LED version doesn't bend. I have the LED version and it hasn't bent. I just put a coat of "Future Polish" on mine to harden the plastic.

I'm really hoping they re-release IW Thor (as they have announced with the MK50) as well as an EG Thor as I missed out on it (due to lack of funds) and I think at this time Hot Toys can probably sell as many figures of whoever they want, even in the same costumes, going to be a boom time for sales so why not capitalize while they can, and a re-release might give the scalpers a bloody nose.

I just sent an email to Hot Toys asking them to consider a re-issue of infinity war Thor LOL 😂

They just announced a re-issue of Iron Man Mark L on their Facebook page.
I know Iron Man is a big seller but if the demand is high for Thor, then they could possibly capitalize....

I agree 100%, ebay scalpers post a couple fake completed auctions showing it selling for over $500 and people think its worth double.

It’s totally not worth double the price, but it’s a great figure. I’m surprised it didn’t sell out sooner. The next one will be Dr strange selling out.

At this moment in time it’s higher than the Mark L....ahh who am I kidding. I just missed out on the figure and want it bad now lol (but not at scalper price)

Agree on Strange, Iron Spider will skyrocket soon as well.

I think we are seeing the effects of figure fatigue leading to lower pre-orders and lower available units from an onslaught of releases lately. Five years ago HT would pump out maybe a figure a month.....max. Its nothing to see three or four in a month now.

Most collectors only have so much disposable income for these and I'm sure it impacts pre-orders now (fewer) and it leads to a lower volume of figures produced. Because of that, we get a run on a figure like Thor where everyone all the sudden wants it and a limited supply dries up quickly and thrusts the secondary market into a fit.

It is fascinating seeing reactive behavior of e-tailers pulling their in-stock on sites and going to Amazon or Ebay increasing pricing or flat raising it like BBTS to capture the increase pricing and demand. They are certainly watching the boards, social media and Sideshow for waitlist/sellouts to reflect the pricing much quicker now.

I wouldn’t have been too upset had I missed out honestly. I’m glad to have it, but the articulation is a little too restricted and I really don’t think the likeness is very good.
