Finally opened him up after sitting in storage for 5 months:

I purchased him and found out that the eyepatch shouldn't sit on too long because of risk of miscoloring the head (which sucks)

I really do want him displayed with the eyepatch, so does anyone have any solutions on the top of their head to this? I was thinking tape at the backside of the patch?

Spray it with a few layers of dullcoat maybe. That should seal it well enough.

Why did they cancel your order if I may ask?

I live outside US (different billing address) and ship to my relative in CA, Alter Ego said for international orders billing and shipping must match and they didn't currently ship to my country, so they cancelled the order. I check the policies and only for international shipping those addresses need to match. They made a mistake and thought I wanna ship outside US, also should have just ask before straight cancelling it. Anyway that lead me to more findings and found Toy Dojo so I guess that's fate

Yes I've recently experienced it too, I wanted to update some orders and he replied literally 4 minutes later said they're done pls recheck. I've found my go to place for future figures!

How about a piece of black felt tape on the underside of the eyepatch carefully cut to shape so no adhesive edge touches Thor?

I must admit that this little wager that doesn't impact me has made this EG Thor question a bit more interesting. While I will NOT put my money (or collectibles) where my mouth is, I would say it's nearly a guarantee that we see "Husky Thor" previewed at SDCC or before with pre-order soon thereafter.

The more I think of colored tape, the more I wonder of the chances of the tape coloring his face instead; do you think there's a risk for that?

A clear coat on the inside of the eye patch will do the trick just fine

not colored tape, it's like a fabric tape. one side is the adhesive and the other is like fabric. similar to the ones they put on the under side of chess pieces if that makes sense. clear coat on the under side as Rbeato said would do the trick also.

Yes...I do agree that a hefty Thor will most likely be released, but I do take solace in knowing that in the event it never materializes at least I'll get a free Mark L courtesy of the generous blinguskahn!

It's "Husky Thor". He does not appreciate "Fat Thor", "Thick Thor", "Hefty Thor" or even "Bootilicious Thor"!

I want Husky Thor bad enough that I gotta root against you in this Mark L crusade, although I guess they could announce it next June and everyone would be a winner...well, except blinguskahn!
