While the bare arms were impressive, something about the new black gunmetal armor is just amazing.
I keep staring at him and thinking I should double-dip on this version to display both versions.

Just an FYI in regards to the stand, you can swap in a crotch grabber from a generic eBay stand no problem but the included bendable pole will not work with a generic stand because of the depth.

Awesome, thanks! I ordered a Hot Toys AoU Thor base from Toy Anxiety, will either use that whole stand or just take the cradle post from it and use that in the IW stand.

Just an FYI in regards to the stand, you can swap in a crotch grabber from a generic eBay stand no problem but the included bendable pole will not work with a generic stand because of the depth.

Does it have to be a generic one? I tried regular Hot Toys crotch grabbers and they don’t fit

Not sure exactly all posts that are compatible but here are a couple pics of the generic oval HT knockoffs I am talking about, I usually get 10 for $25 or less I think.

One of the best looking photos I've seen of this guy. The likeness does indeed look very good from that angle.

Size is probably good in relation to all non-Iron Man figures. To me the new Iron Man figures are disproportionate with the rest of the line. I know people have pointed to some metrics showing Iron Man is supposed to be 6'5" and taller than Thor. But for me, it just throws off all of the proportions of what Iron Man/Tony should look like next to Thor. He should not be dwarfing Thor in size.

Can confirm that these work perfectly. A bit annoying that they were not included with the figure.

Ah, my bad. I stopped at Civil War - didn't realize the Civil War cap was bigger than the AoU cap that I have.

Most of the Cap figures after the first one, which was too small, are too tall. I had to swap the ankle pegs on my Strike suit cap for shorter ones to get him closer to his real height. He shouldn’t be much more that 12”-12 1/4” tall.

They did, but recently it seems they have resurfaced but perhaps in low numbers.

Excellent natural light shot of the figure! Head sculpt and the new arms look phenomenal!

Can't wait to get mine soon!
