If I had to only keep just one of my Cavill Supes, it?d be the MoS one. That one imo is the best Cavill Supes figure of the three (based on the JL proto). Best sculpt, best suit rendition, best body proportions, etc.

Really? I always found the proportions a bit odd... the torso seemed way too long.

Its really a no brainer. Its a win-win for both Snyder and WB.
Many superhero movies success are really based of how much $$$ it made. Specially if it made it into the billion dollar club.
I think there's several superhero movies that made lots of $$$, that I feel were nice movies, but overrated...but were deemed huge success cause it made a lot of $$$.

If they re-release JL with Snydercut, I think even people who didnt like JL would be curious and would go see it.
This along with the huge number of people who want to see the Snydercut,
I think it would have enough buzz that re-releasing can probably net JL into the billion dollar club.

I think whether it lives up to its promise or maybe even if it just a little better...or better yet, if it really turned out to be a much better film...
no matter what outcome, JL joining the billion dollar club can wash the stigma of JL being a box office bomb, since most movies are held to a different standard if it generated enough $$$.

As much as I like the MOS one, if it could only be one, it would have to be the BvS one for me.

I like the outfit colorm the portrait and the whole presentation here. If I can pick up the JL one, I will. Just that big a fan of Cavill's take n the Son of Krypton...

In the second interview, Henry Cavill delved into why he didn't get involved with "Release The Snyder Cut" and questioned if it even exists.

"I have not seen any Snyder cut," he said. "I don't know if there is anything that exists that is a Snyder Cut."

I feel the same. I had a custom MoS that I sold due to some hard times that I plan on redoing in the future once things become more stable.

Sure but Cavill is not going to say anything re: Snydercut to rock the boat with WB at this point. He's the only one without a followup stand alone film and needs another film if Witcher doesn't work out. He's just playing it mega safe, which is totally understandable.

Several people from the film industry have commented that it is most likely this photo was taken at the WB vault. When the film gets to this canister-in-storage stage it is done. VFX, scoring, all that. The film exists digitally on a computer and using film reels is the backup in case somehow the electronic data all gets lost.

In other words, somehow, some way, Zack got this movie completed. And I think WB gave it's blessing for him to post this.

I am actually beginning to feel optimism that the JL SC gets a theater release. And if it's a financial success, then we'll see JL 2 and 3. When Snyder released that photo #ReleaseTheSnyderCut immediately trended to #1 in the world without the RTSC even trying. There was no event or anything. WB realizes it has a huge ardent fanbase for this material that actually eschews Rotten Tomatoes/critics and the taste of the GA mainstream. And an R-rated Joker made $1B frickin' without China!

IF the SC of JL is actually a great movie... and remember that many if not most people that love BvS love it for being so offbeat... so "great" means as epic feeling even if surprising or even astonishing... which in so many aspects BvS is... but obviously even better if it is popular with the mainstream...

But anyway, that's IF...

Then more than ever, I'm thinking that the Snyderverse gets completed, i.e., Zack makes JL 2 and 3. Which means Ben returns for that, and Henry is course on board as well. (Although in exchange for playing ball he also gets to make the self-contained MoS 2 film he wants, that is set shortly after MoS. This does no harm.) The Snyderverse superheroes finish out their trilogies. Cyborg gets a solo film. Shazam and Black Adam get completed, and Cavill's Superman faces off against Black Adam in BA2. And it ends in a grand finale with Flashpoint, including JDM Thomas Wayne Batman (how awesome that will be) and Ben cameoing at the very end.

AND

Reeves Battinson trilogy launches a separate new continuity. It'll take about 8 years before we could see a first JL film in that universe, so they have plenty of time to introduce their own superheroes in solo films to populate that universe while the Batman trilogy completes. This universe will satisfy fans that want a more traditional comic book style, modeled more on the DCAU in spirit. Although in certain ways it may be offbeat and take risks in its own way as well. E.g., MBJ Superman directed by JJ Abrams? The 2023 production timing is right for that. So Abrams makes GLC first! Although I would much rather see MBJ as a young, idealistic John Stewart alongside an older, jaded Hal in the vein of a Dirty Harry or MiB type of story. And Supergirl comes first, before Superman?

I think if this happens they will try to avoid overlap between of characters between the two continuities. There will be two Batmans, but we all know Batfleck dies in JL 3, plus the cameo at the end of Flashpoint. I think otherwise they manage to avoid duplicating characters in both universes over the next 8 years. But to whatever extent they do so that is NOT to confusing for the GA. The GA gets this.

Maybe with the couple of successes WB have had in Aquaman and the Joker their confidence is back and they greenlit the funds to finish the Snyder Cut off and now know they'll get the return due to the proven fan support #releasethesnydercut.

Having new execs non-involved from the past probably also helps.

I really hope you are right with the potential going forward of the JL Trilogy, but like you say it will ALL depend on the Snyder Cut being a good movie.

With reports of only 10-15% of the original Snyder footage used, it sounds like the SCut must be a totally different movie. More in line with what Snyder outlined at that Snydercon Q&A video.

If Disney is considering releasing a movie edit of The Mandalorian in theaters (which is brilliant I think. It get's potential new people into it and said people most probably signed up for Disney+ Season 2, and earns them extra dollars for almost nothing). So why wouldn't WB be thinking the same with JL Directors Cut. i.e a quick release in theaters more for marketing/advertising purposes and then HBO Max for subscriptions.

Early 2020 is shaping up to be very interesting. Man I hope it pans out well ! We might get some more DC Hot Toys love after all......

Thanks! I really loved working on it and the end result. That pic is a little old as since then I made my own very thin wrist guards to replace the chunky ones that came with the figure prior to selling it. I still have parts to make this again just need to wait until I can buy a new MoS figure unless the JL figure turns out be really good.

He does seem a bit tall, but he’s not really that much taller, if at all, than BvS Supes. I think the body on the BvS one is a bit too muscular, and the quadriceps too bulky. The legs and the torso on the MoS body seem more proportionate to me and accurate to Cavill’s physique.

Start taking bets on what gets released first. If I remember right someone asked JC Hong at SDCC about Batman and Superman, and he said both would be out "very soon". That was somewhat true for Batman, but he must have a different idea of "very soon"
