Thanks for the response!
Totally helpful.
Im gettin' one!

BTW, Anybody reading this should click on Batsheva's signature and check out his art. Stunning stuff!
You never know who you will bump into around here...

You're very much welcome, Mike!
and yes, you should get one. I think it's one of the best 1/6 horse in the market right now.

Also thanks for the shout out and the kind words, monsieur!! :)
I do have one more instagram account, for my toy photos: @arioholic.
Cheers mate!

YESSS batsheva! Phenomenal pictures!

Going to be getting mine in soon and really can't wait. I sold off my BvS, I recently saw it in the FP London store again and forgot how good it looked but seeing pictures on here I just feel this will be more convincing regardless of the not so 100% sculpt. Great pictures!

Did you do anything with the hair?

I think most of the negativity of this piece seems to stem with people just leaving the hair bulbous, looks great futzed with. Hopefully with Aquaman getting good reviews there'll be some more hype and love injected into DC and with Hot Toys DC.

Thanks heaps, mate!
No, I didn't put anything to the hair. Just comb it with my fingers, that's all.
I don't have any hair products, and I don't think water will do anything.
I think the hair on mine's looking all good straight out of the box, so I keep it that way.
Probably just keep some half of it in front, to make her look more natural.

IMHO, the likeness only shows from certain angles, and the training version likeness is better.
But overall this is a good figure. Had lotsa fun taking pics of her riding the black horse.

The bulbous hair is the only thing I don't like about mine. Still looking for a solution to that. Otherwise very happy with the figure and improvements over the BvS version.

Got mine a few days ago.

She's very nice. I ordered a God Killer sword too, so she can be as accurate to the WW solo movie as possible.

My take on the 'Trinity'

So I received mine today. To be honest, I actually like her more than I thought I would, and think that overall, she’s a bit better of a figure and representation than the BvS figure. Though I think most of the reason why I say that is because she looks great with the GK sword and shield.

Body wise, they’re pretty much identical. Though I give the slight edge to the BvS figure due to the legs being angled in a bit more, which is more accurate. However, the bow legged look with this one isn’t really that bad, and you can futz with it to get the legs to look like they’re angled inward a bit. Sculpt wise I want to give the slight edge to this one, simply because it looks more lifelike than the BvS one to me, whereas I think the BvS one looks a bit more doll-esque. However, the BvS one does look more feminine and when I look at it next to the JL one, I see Gal a bit more in the BvS one. Both likenesses are off though when it comes down to it. Lasso on this one is also better.

More than adequate to serve as a representation from the first film alongside TA WW.

Only glitch appears to be that I didn’t receive a shield holding hand, and received duplicates of what I’m guessing are a lasso holding hand. Not a biggie though, as I simply used the shield holding hand from TA WW, which I figure is made to hold the GK shield anyway.

I got this intending to put the cloak on, but I don’t feel safe doing that.

Yay! My Wonder Woman finally arrived. I stood it up next to the BVS figure and yeah, it's an improvement on all fronts for me and generally looks better quality and a lot more realistic. It's the earthier colours that make it.

Both versions sadly still don't look like Gal Gadot, but my preference would be for the JL headsculpt, even though it's undersized.

Overall I'm pleased with it and it won't be heading back to ebay for a quick sale......let's see where we are in 2 years.

Grats on getting your figure man. And glad to hear you like yours.
I think you cant go wrong with either figure.

both has its weakness and strengths, and in the end, goes to personal preference.

Thanks, man. :duff

You actually really can’t go wrong with either one. Like you said, each one has its pros and cons. I really can’t say which one is “better” overall. I want to say this one, but as I said, I think that’s simply because I have it with the GK sword and shield. I’m sure the BvS would look pretty much identical if you put that with the GK sword and shield. The colors on the JL one though are a little bit lighter with a duller finish.

Always appreciate your unbiased takes. I would also largely agree that the JL looks more like a real person, but the BvS looks slightly more like gal (just slightly, it’s still well off) but has a more cartoon like appearance, while also being more pretty.

I like the harness and lasso of the JL better, but like the vibrant colours of the BvS armour more. Of course the cloak is a plus with the JL.

Hopefully they’ll take a step forward instead of another side step with the inevitable WW2 figure.

Also in that shot it seems like the TA version has been having some fun on the beach as the lighting makes it seem like she has tan lines :lol

Thanks, I’m glad you enjoy. :duff

My takes are always first impression assessments, as I usually write them soon after opening the figure. Of course after having it for awhile, you start to notice other little nuances that may change your initial opinion, but I indeed try and be as unbiased as possible and simply report what I see in front of me when I first open it and start messing with it a bit. This is indeed one of those figures (like many) where it truly does look better in person than what comes across in pictures, unlike TLJ Jedi Training Rey for instance, that looks exactly in person like what you see in others’ in hand pictures. I thought I wasn’t really going to enjoy this figure all that much but like I said, I like it better than what I thought I would.

I still can’t fully decide on which sculpt I think is the stronger one. Yesterday, it was this one. Today, it was BvS. Now I’m kinda leaning back to this one. This one looks just like the TA sculpt, sans the nose. As was mentioned, it looks more lifelike than the BvS one, by far. BvS one though, while more doll-like, has more of an exotic look to it.

It might just be one of those cases where it’s simply pick your poison. Can’t really go wrong with either because when it ultimately comes down to it, neither are overly accurate. Both have their pros and cons and adequately serve as a mere decent Gal likeness. I think the sculpted hair on the TA sculpt helps bring out the likeness the best because it highlights the correct head shape.

The red is more muted but I find the blue and gold pop more on this version. I like it much more than the BvS figure overall but agree neither has a great likeness to Gal. I can live with that until WW84 and hope HT finally nail the likeness then.

Yeah, I agree about the blue and gold on this version popping a bit more. The red is a bit lighter of a red while also having a bit of a duller finish than the BvS version, which has slightly darker colors and a more glossy finish on the red. This version with the GK sword and shield serves as an excellent WW first film version. If the WW84 sculpt turns out better, I'll just pop it on this figure.

By the way, has anyone been able to securely attach the GK shield to the back of this figure? The handle of the shield is a bit too thick to fit into the little hooks included to attach it to her back. The handle of the JL shield it comes with is thinner. Also, has anyone put her sword at her side at all?

I wanted to do a pose like this from when she first strolled out into No Man's Land, but ran into the aforementioned issues:

Yup..this is still my go to WW Solo version so far than the BVS despite what people might think

So far it captures all three films the best IMO
