Just received the horse. Was wondering if you thought it seemed smaller than 1/6? I own the Nazgul LOTR horse from a couple of years ago but I don't know if that one was exaggerated or not but it is a lot bigger than this one from eBay. Just curious about your thoughts on it and to make sure they did not send me a fake or alternate version. Thanks.
(Still waiting for my Wonder Woman to better compare size with your pics)

Not all horses are the same size of course but this one looks right compared to the characters.
Average size horse.

I still have done nothing with this figure's hair out of the box, which I definitely need to do because it's a hot mess. How does one go about this? Is the hair pretreated so that it just needs a spritz of water (mist)? Should I apply hair gel? What's the best way to go about this?

So after being concerned about the cloak potentially staining the body, I took the plunge today and went for it. I just gently wrapped the arms and covered the shoulders and back with Saran Wrap to prevent contact with the skin, so hopefully it works. Not much you can do about the legs, but the fabric isn’t really putting pressure against the ‘skin’ the way it would around the shoulders. I also took the Velcro straps off, being I don’t see the straps on the cloak at all in the screen shot I based the pose on.

I want to do this too. I'm really afraid it could damage the body... It's the shame because the dress is really beautiful. Do you think it can damage the headsculpt with the hood ?

The hair is rooted, so I doubt it. Even then, I’ve had the hoods of cloaks on some of my figures for a long while, and no damage. I think it’ll be okay.

Love the look of this, gone for a similar approach of taking the cloak strap off to have more of her armour on display. Absolutely cannot wait for 1984 Wonder Woman, this figure is great as it is, I'm sure with the improvements in the next two years it'll be the best on market yet.

Still annoyed some of the gold plating on the skirt came as damaged, though.

Thanks!

Yeah, as soon as I put the cloak on, I pretty much said “yep, that’s the look.” Like I mentioned before, I just laid down a layer of Saran Wrap over her bare shoulders, arms, and upper back to prevent any potential staining. I’m hoping the legs will be fine though, even with the cloak just pretty much grazing them.

I plan on passing on the WW84 figure, but if the sculpt turns out to just be that good, I’d simply swap it with the sculpt on this figure. Though I suspect if it is that good, it’ll probably cost a pretty penny and it’d probably just be worth getting the entire 84 figure at that point. A WW display consisting of TA, WW1 (cloaked) and WW84 would admittedly look pretty cool.

Speaking of the skirt.. has anyone made a custom skirt? The one on the figure is kinda crap IMO...

I'm pretty sure the training WW and JL are the same sculpt.

There’s something slightly different about the facial details on them. Hard to say what exactly but it’s clear to many that have/had both that the TA version looks more like Gal than the JL version does. I think it does too.

Turn the heads to the side and compare the nose lengths, and it’s also clear they’re not the exact same sculpt.

I recall this being discussed at length a few months back, and I thought QGF gave a pretty good account of what happened:

No, they are the same.

At least in terms of lineage. the JL sculpt is off of the same master as the TA head, but I bet a new mold was created off of that original TA sculpt (basically a re-cast), and then repainted with a slightly different scheme.

So they were both born out the same starting point, but the end product for each contains a few run specific idiosyncrasies.

Just because it’s the “same” sculpt doesn’t mean both are from the same mold.

Hot Toys probably created new molds for the new run using the same base sculpt. It’s virtually impossible to clone molds with 100% accuracy/efficiency. There are always subtle differences just like we’ve seen in later runs of the same figure for years.

It makes perfect sense to me that after the TA run was complete (for now at least) with its xx,xxx number of units that a new fresh mold was ordered removing the sculpted hair line in favor of a smooth base for the rooted hair, etc. and PRESTO, slightly pointier nose, subtle differences elsewhere....same sculpt (and new paint job too!).

Yeah, I think QGF is on to something there. And seeing what unrealtoys, obviously a skilled painter, mentioned about the difference it’s clear it isn’t just the factory paint apps on them.

I also remember seeing someone swap the sculpts and hair the TA up. Looked a lot better than the JL version. I need to hunt those pics down and look at them again.

Will be showcasing once i receive the sculpt, it was painted by yelim choi. i will add the gold tiara.
