One thing I noticed, which I don't think has been commented on, is her eyes. They appear to be looking upward. Don't know if I like that or not.

Guess she could be looking up at a threat ???

PERS eyes system ?? I doubt it, but could be a subtle hint ???

Um, Rey and Hela still look good with that lighting. I think it's the sculpt...

Yeah... I noticed that too. I don't like that. I hope that's not what we get.

Lol! It’s fine. I think we’ve all had our moments of unfounded panic.

In this case, the eyes are the same as the proto. It IS the proto as far as I can tell.

For one the lighting isn’t all that flattering and two, take a closer look. Because there is reflective light from below, There are highlights under the iris giving the impression of more white underneath therefore making it look like she’s looking upward. But it’s the proto with the exact same iris position.

Couldn't care less about the Oscars and it's self congratulatory elitist nonsense. They completely ignore entire genres of movie for all the key awards if it doesn't fit their narrow vision of what is worthy.

I'd be willing to wager had it had more of a SJW feminist message where she loathed men and babies and kept reiterating that women are the superior gender, it probably would have won an award.

Now days, if you DON'T win an award at the Oscars nor even got consideration, odds are pretty high that you made a good film.

:exactly: The Academy rather give nominations on a film about Tonya Harding instead :toilet_cl

Outside of Star Wars, the DCEU and some MCU, I'm pretty much done with Hollywood. I couldn't care less about going to see in the theaters any film they come out with outside of those three universes, nor do I really watch many TV shows, if any.

As a whole, their days of actually being entertaining (now they're just entertaining for a comedic quote because of how imbecilic it is) are behind them.

:lol That's probably true. Thankfully we got a quality WW movie with none of that nonsense that infected the awful Ghostbusters remake.

I think WW captured the best of the feminist message in a way very consistent to those core convictions. As for "social justice warriors", justice by nature is social, but when society is challenged in places where it is unjust it is often hard for those who enjoy the status quo to take. While those most effected by injustice can on some occasions understandably be angry, bitter, or even a bit vindictive at times, it's far too easy for those with the privilege of not experiencing what they are experiencing to dismiss the whole idea, and shut our ears to the best of their message and concerns and stereotype the whole thing. I think most feminist, even of the social justice variety, think Wonder Woman perfectly captured their message along with the universal humanity of the story. I think it is inaccurate to generalize the feminist movement as primarily praising man hating and baby hating themes along with having some sort of superiority complex as the norm of feminism which would somehow receive the most praise.

There was nothing inherently wrong with the "feminism" of the Ghostbusters movie itself which took away from the quality. All the strife about Ghostbusters was off screen in responding with people upset there was an all female team. The movie became politically charged, but not because of the story itself in the movie. The movie wasn't preachy about feminism or women having power or anything like that, they just happened to be all women characters. As for the quality, I don't think it was as good as the original, but not because they cast women. I think the problem with the film was that the writing didn't give it's two biggest stars Melissa McCarthy and Kristen Wiig the best material to best showcase their talent. Kate McKinnon, and Leslie Jones were able to do more with their parts with less mostly because they could riff a bit and had more comedic freedom in less scripted and restrictive parts (something the original provided for all their leads). The story line between Melissa McCarthy and Kristen Wiig where they were old feuding friends needing to reconcile took up a lot of time and took away from them just being able to be funny and was unnecessary for a Ghostbusters film. So it wasn't an awful movie, but also not great; regardless though the quality of the movie, one way or the other, had nothing to do with "feminism" or the fact women were cast as the leads. So "feminism" didn't "infect" the quality of the Ghostbusters movie, unless you think having an all female team, as opposed to an all male one, in of itself somehow diminishes the quality of the movie.

Now back to the Wonder Woman Justice League figure. I wonder when the next chance will be to get another look at the prototype? Any more shows or events coming up it might be displayed at?
