Spot on! This one's a grail for me, and it tops EVERYTHING I've seen thus far for figure of the year.

you know that figure has a lot of potential. If HT didn't have the license, I'd possibly get that just to customize it and sell it

At least this ought to force HT into making a new muscle TT. No way would the TTM 19, TTM 20, or Bruce Lee bodies work for Depp's Tonto.

Well they already have the sculpted forearms and chest/neck from the DX06. so they'd just need some new biceps and abs. should'nt be too difficult for them

A new body is far from difficult for them these days. Its just finding a figure to FORCE them to finally make new parts that is the challenge these days. A shirtless Johnny Depp seems to fit that bill to me. HT loves Depp so they gotta make Tonto at least. They might not even do the Ranger

I usually stick to collecting batman only, but love the lone ranger. So far it looks like Neca is the way to go. maybe Hot Toys will show us something soon.

I am starting to worry that Hot Toys will not produce it if the movie bombs just like what happened to Green Lantern. Although Green Lantern's costume would have been complicated to produce as opposed to the Ranger's.

I have a feeling this may be worse than both of those from what critics are saying. I have a feeling they are wasting the love for the real lone ranger, had they even tried to stay true maybe there would be at least some hope for this, but as it is I have none left for it. Depp may sell some figures though.

It would be very cool if someone made a classic version of these two, not unlike Triad Zorro-which is an amazing figure.

Won't be watching the movie till Sat but still looking forward to it no matter what the critics say. I like to be my own critic. The critics hated John Cater and in my opinion that is one of the best sci-fi/fantasy movies made in the past 30 years. They also hated Battleship, which by No means is a great movie, but it's a whole lot of fun and very entertaining.

HT will make Lone Ranger and Tonto whether this movie bombs or not. Look at The Spirit... they made 3 figures.

The critics hated John Cater and in my opinion that is one of the best sci-fi/fantasy movies made in the past 30 years.
