I don't think I'd mind a two-pack with Endor Luke and Leia if it could bring the price down for each together. Also Leia and Wicket would make a great set. I was never bothered by the Ewoks. Always did like those little creatures.

The eventual ROTJ Han better come with the Endor trench coat. There's not a whole lot of accessories he could really come with anyway. Blaster, cuffs for the sail barge scene, and Endor coat.

I think the Yoda body could be close to the right size for Wicket, or maybe could be partially used or something. Would need padding obviously. Wicket would be awesome, but you know they'd have to do a two pack or something as people would balk at a $200 Ewok--many people made a lot of noise about Yoda and he's an essential character and came with two heads.

I think the Ewoks would in some ways be easier for Hot Toys to pull off than Chewie (faces seem simpler and less complex than Chewie in terms of the sculpt) but in other ways more difficult (fur patterns like Teebo). Would love to see them try. Wicket also has part of his face covered which could simplify things potentially, but Teebo or Chirpa would be a lot more interesting.

It would be tricky because you'd 100% have to do Wicket, but he's much shorter than all the other Ewoks, so they'd have to use a variant on the Yoda body but also do a mid-section extender for a taller Ewok.

But yeah, Ewoks also don't have as much fine detail in the face as Chewy, and also aren't as recognizable, so might be easier to pull off.

I'm almost done with my Bespin Guard, then I'm making a furred Ewok (finally found a stuffed toy with the right fur) but maybe I should hold off for 6 months. It looks like it'll be tough but that was kinda what I liked about doing an Ewok.

The speeder bike screams sideshow remake. IMO it's very well done and hot toys has plenty of other stuff keeping them busy. It also would give sideshow something star wars to release considering it seems they have been relegated to the sidelines anyway.

I think that at least wicket will be made, but fur will be sculpted. See rocket raccoon V2, I think HT said fur was too problematic at that scale.

The raccoon has very short body/limbs fur though - the Ewoks have shorter fur than Chewy, but longer than the raccoon. It would definitely be tough to pull off, a lot of trouble for characters that many might go "eww!" over. You would think that Wicket especially would be a nightmare to get real fur looking right on because he's so tiny.

I really hope we get Ewoks too. At least a Wicket would be nice but ideally he'd be part of a two pack with the chief or one of the others. I know most people don't like them but I honestly never minded them.

Ewoks were cool to hate back in the day (I played with the Kenner Ewoks under protest.) The days before the PT provided a wide spectrum of things and concepts to hate. Then suddenly people liked Ewoks.:lol

This should just be a single Deluxe Jedi Luke and not a separate $220 figure.

Yeah, there's something about this figure that feels like it should have been a few extra items sitting in the clear tray of the Luke Jedi box.

I choose to enjoy ROTJ for what it is, a more consumer oriented bubblegum version of Star Wars than its predecessors. It was fun though! It had Jabba's palace with all the creatures, a giant Rancor monster, Carrie in a bikini, a beautiful forrest, zooming speeder bikes, and furry attacking ewoks. Not really in step but still a good time.

Growing up I thought it was the best. The Jabba scene worked for me. Then the end there's an amazing space battle and the lightsaber duel going on all at once and the music is just great. Han is funny here and there but now I see him as more of a shell.

Endor looses steam when Luke leaves but action pics up in other places.

Yeah Jedi may be aged Velveeta, but segments are as good as anything in ANH and ESB - Jabba's Palace, Sail Barge and the speeder bike chase - and yeah, the intercut of the lightsaber battle and the space battle was cool.

And it delivered like SW movies used to in terms of a couple of classic, unexpected icons - Emperor and Jabba (like Lando and Yoda in ESB) and a cool new-classic Empire trooper variation - Bikers (like Snowies in ESB.) Parts are stale and dated versus ESB, but it still has a lot to love - maybe the Ewoks have now entered that list.:lol

I'm shocked that they are showing an Endor Luke so close to the Jedi Luke. In defense of Hot Toys, it does look like the poncho is more than just a simple piece of fabric over Luke. Maybe they tested getting the poncho on and off and just decided to make another figure?

Also at first I didn't like the face sculpt like many. But seeing those off angle pics from Toyark and others and it looks really good.

With the Endor Luke and Leia, Hot Toys has to have a speederbike in the works. I can't miss out on these two. Leia looks great.

*Edit - I did notice that the display also says "Endor & Black Outfit Version" so if the poncho is removable this will just be a money grab.

That's the bit that stood out to me on that display card. But realistically, if there's a 'Black Outfit Version' there would need to be an unhelmeted sculpt there too. You just wouldn't have that figure without the poncho but wearing the helmet.

..and the explosives (that came with the 1/6 Hasbro one) he planted in the Endor bunker.

I agree he looks great. Like others have speculated, maybe this will be a deluxe version giving us a helmeted and un-helmeted sculpt. It would be so choice.

Indeed the explosives would be a nice addition as well for Han. [emoji106]

There's more on their website as well.

I think endor luke and Leia look great. Perhaps most would prefer a more neutral expression for luke but it works if he is riding a speeder bike. HT can't win really, if they go with a neutral expression it's a "dead stare". If they go with an expression folks always complain.

Agreed

I thought the poncho of his was articulated, but obviously it was the stand grabber lifting it :lol

The pictures from RS look better... but still not in love with the sculpt. If he came with a neutral sculpt as well and the ability to swap the hair around between the two figures (or a full hair piece) I'd be more tempted. But if this is pretty much it for the figure it will likely be a pass.

The biggest draw for me was that this was a Kenner figure and I feel an extra strong desire to buy if a figure was part of the original toy line.

Yeah, I'm getting huge nostalgia for these two Endor figures. Moreso than most of the other figures before. I think Jedi were the toys I must have had access to and played with most.
