If this one includes the same black jumpsuit as the other version, and the same belt, and a different hair piece, it could be a nice alternate release, IMHO.

Great catch - name certainly implies potential to be both Endor and and another more basic Jedi Luke (just "duel" version- without vest and cloak)

Now that would be interesting.

So with the two figures, the two looks that can be achieved is Endor/DS or Jedi tunic/DS. Basically what you're choosing between with the two figures in that case would be Endor or Jedi tunic.

Jedi tunic all day for me. Plus, the other Luke has the cloak for a third display option.

Has anyone been able to confirm whether the helmet is removable on either of the Luke or Leia Endor figures? Personally if that is the case I'd buy this version too. That way I can have a Jabba's Palace Luke and a Death Star II Luke (and the poncho and helmet if I choose to switch things up). I also like the Endor Luke's sculpt (minus the helmet) better for when he's in a lightsaber duel.

Yea, but if the helmet is "removable" I'll like buy both for sure and treat it like a DX anyway swapping parts between the two, maybe using the "Endor" head on a vested sail barge pose Silverstar mentions, and the relaxed sculpt with the Duel outfit, maybe like the scene standing next to Vader in cuffs with Vader holding Luke's new lightsaber. Then I could switch the heads, and use the "Endor" one for and action dueling pose with Vader, and the relaxed one in the classic Jabba's place pose.

Yea, the options really open up and it would feel like a DX to have both of these Lukes if the helmet is removable with swapable hair.

Nope. Not at all. But they are living beings and the force is created by all living things.

Jedi use the force for knowledge and defense. They could have easily subdued them without killing but they chose not to.

It made for cooler scenes and a better movie but I'm just saying they all have killed.

You can see his belt under the poncho in this shot. Even the d ring.

If it were a DX project, there'd definitely have to be two figures like Bespin Luke has.

There's too many looks that would in a way be almost imprudent to include with just one figure, since you'd only be able to display one at a time. I'm actually more an advocate of picking which combo you prefer, and get that figure. If you want the DS/Endor look, then get this figure. If you're like me and don't particularly care for the Endor look, then get the DS/Jedi tunic figure. I'd personally rather have that option and pay less rather than pay extra money for several outfits I know I'll never use. Really what it comes down to with the two RotJ Luke figures is simply do you prefer the Endor look or the Jedi tunic, since his general DS look is achievable with both.

As I mentioned though, the sculpt that comes with this figure would be ideal with the Jedi tunic to put him in that pose from Jabba's sail barge. Typical HT. The sculpt that actually fits better with a certain figure doesn't come with that figure and comes with the other version. Similar to the interchangeable faceplate sculpt with the CW Captain America figures. It figures that the sculpt with the "battling expression" didn't come with the battling version figure, but instead with the regular, clean version.
