It's a great figure! The colors really pop in person, too.
I have a "list" of must-own characters and figures, and I try and limit that to just one figure to represent a character. There are a lot of Spider-Man options out there, but when I see this one I don't see "the Spider-Man from the movies" or "the Spider-Man from the games"; I just see SPIDER-MAN, in such a pure and timeless representation. It's a figure that makes me smile every time I see it.

This has held position as definitive for me. I was tempted by the Toby version but ultimately a little disappointed with how it turned out.

I managed to pick this up for Christmas. Absolutely love it, and looks even more impressive in hand.
It does look really great. I have the comic version coming in, but this classic spidey would have been an awesome one to have otherwise

Have ya'll been able to leave it in these types of poses for a long time and not have any issues with the suit material?
I’ll be honest. I don’t care about that. Spidey is meant to be posed and posed and posed. I get why it bothers some people and it would be nice if HT had a better material for that. But with this guy; it doesn’t bother me.

I just bought one, these video game spiderman figures have the proper muscle build that’s missing in the live action figures.

Is your suit holding up well?

There's a third party sculpt up for PO by a company called DDZ, looks really cool and I wished HT had given consumers alternate heads like these over the Scorpion tail and diorama.

Nice alternate look.

Has anyone customized this in any other way. I have this....but wanted to see if anyone did any other customizations with this Spidey.

Does the stitching on the right side look like this for anyone else? looks normal on the left side.

All of their Spidey figures tend to have funkier stitching on that side. I assume that's done by hand or somehow unavoidable once the figure's stuffed into the suit.

I do find just handling the figure the suit is sort of having some threading deteriorating. I kind of see the thread/fibers of the suit when I look closely becoming loose and turning grey.

More and more, I think spandex is the only way to go with spideys.

You'll see that on pretty much every spidey, and more broadly any figure with a full body suit that doesn't have a zipper (black panther for example). That side is left unfinished by the machine stitching so the body can be crammed inside, then it has to be hand stitched closed with a ladder stitch since at that point you can't stitch it from the inside anymore. Same technique for finishing anything that has to be stuffed with something, like a pillow or plush

With this sort of thin suit material and the tension it is under this sort of stitch unfortunately isn't as clean and invisible as it would be in other applications
