The PS2 gen Snakes were defined enough if HT did wanted them to be game accurate. Heck, both Snakes even had some minor imperfections on their faces. In this case, I can't see why they just didn't go with Naked Snake's PS2 model.

I know I've mentioned this before, if they ever do MGS2, just boot up "The Document of MGS2" and HT will have all the reference they need. We don't need another Peace Walker Snake lookalike.

:lecture:exactly:

You have no idea what your talking about Kenny, there hasn't been a fuzzy pixeled MGS in about 20 years.

Also my fello Plisskin, good on you for referencing The Document of MGS2, it's a treasure to the series and more should of been made... but poor sales killed it. :(

I mean, obviously I was exaggerating, but I stand by it. This would not make for a good looking Hot Toys sculpt. Not with the level of detail they put into their products, it would look out of place with the amount of detail on the body.

What about the first metal gear solid game for the first Sony Playstation?

:lol

I don't think the PS2 graphics were better than the first but not good enough to use as a base model for hot toys sculptors. I'm glad they used the CG artwork.

This isn't MGS1, you can still see it's a person with all the feature of a person. It doesn't need to look like the in-game model it just needs to have the same features and be human looking.

MGS3 is still pretty in my eyes :monkey3

Its not something that should have been sold separately imo. It should have either come with the subsistence version (like in europe) or in an artbook.
I was gutted when Kojima said they won't make it HD, or ever do another "document of.." again as its too expensive to produce :(

I think the artwork of metalgearsolid is reference enough to make a real looking Snake. Like the briefing in MGS1 or even the codec picture

^plenty of detail, it even looks exactly like MGS2 Snake.. So i really hope they go for that in the next figures. NakedSnake is half way there though!

WHAT!?

MGS2 completely floored people when it debuted, it's far and beyond what MGS1 was.

I hated that they used in-game models for the briefing in Twin Snakes, among many things wrong with that game.

To be fair though MG3 didn't have as much artwork as 1 or 2 with the same level of detail. I could actually most millions of reference pics they could use. I will if you guys want me to :p

(MGS2 is still ****ing gorgeous. MGS1 looks fantastic on my PSPGo, the whole pixilated thing just works on a small screen)

I wish Koji Pro would talk about their plans for the MGS1 2nd remake already. It popped up like a year or more ago and nothing has been said since.

Even today the outside Tanker area with the rainfall is still great :blissy

Yeah, I agree. The game was really complex; a lot was going on. There were seagulls dropping bird poop on you. Guards were taking pee breaks. Floor panels came undone and fell to the water.

It was groundbreaking across the board. In what MGS1 did in storytelling and acting MGS2 took that again and created a very cinematic and visual experience.

Soo erm, could you elaborate what's wrong with this then? Looks well defined for a sculpt to me.
