How do you get the had shell off this figure? Is there a way to do it without breaking it?

Finally opened this thing up earlier. It's a nice figure but definitely didn't meet my expectations considering it took what, like 2 years to finally come out? I will post pics tomorrow.

Just as I predicted that the tracking from UPS would make a earlier delivery, my Snake arrives today instead of tomorrow.

Fed Ex screwed up my delivery, man . They didn't even attempt delivery to my house and the package was sent back to Sideshow, with a "Return to sender" message on the tracking. I was supposed to get this guy since last Tuesday!

I contacted Sideshow's customer service and they said that they'll send it back. I'll get it this time for sure

Did they catch it in mid route back to Sideshow? Or do they need to resend it altogether?

Lower your expectations on this thing, I think it was a bust and the material hinders 75% of movement. I really hope they do a BDU variant.

It came to NYC and was resent all the way back to California

Anyway, that does sound like a disappointment. I just hope that Hot Toys gives us one more Big Boss figure in regular camo, and move onto figures for MGS 2 and MGS 4 (if they ever carry the license that far).

1. Place the knife in the scabbard

2. Gently work the loop over the top of the knife (slightly stretching it

3. ????

4. Profit!

It just takes a bit of finess to bring it over the top, but be gentle as to not snap the scabbard.

Easier said than done, I'm just about ruining the material on the loop.

Eek, well you can use a pair of plyers to stretch it a bit, Try putting them on the inside and expanding them, the leather will go back to normal overnight. Just don't over do it.

Yeah, I'm waiting for a new promo code from sideshow so i can order it or a online retailer who has a sale. $215 shipped is still a bit hard to order.

Only if your a hardcore fan, which I am. If you are not that much into the series I would pass on it. It does have nice accessories but it should of come with more weapons like a SVD or RPG7. Although you can get that stuff on the secondary market.

If you have plans of getting the Boss you definitely need this as a companion piece. It's definitely the highest quality MGS 1/6 release to date.

I would recommend it, but it's nothing exciting. The headsculpt is OK but his hair is completely wrong and just not messy and long enough. The face is good and thank god he isn't as big headed looking in hand. I guess he just does not photo very well.

I gotta say after a few days of this guy im kinda regretting it, the suit is just too restrictive, might try and bash a fatigures figure out of this, but id want to do a peace walker ver... which means mo money lol

got all the play arts though, Love the SS BB !!

The lack of articulation shouldn't be too surprising, since Hot Toys rubber suit figures have always had a limited range of movement. It's too bad that they didn't make this figure in a plastic-fabric combination, like they did for the DX 12. But, it still looks great from the pics that everyone has posted up so far.

Personally I hate the armpits, the material makes the arms flare out in a weird way, I could have fixed it but the suit is sewn onto the body

The lack of articulation shouldn't be too surprising, since Hot Toys rubber suit figures have always had a limited range of movement. It's too bad that they didn't make this figure in a plastic-fabric combination, like they did for the DX 12. But, it still looks great from the pics that everyone has posted up so far.

And I'm getting DX12 probably the first week of January. I'm going to do a photoshoot and I will post it up tomorrow morning.

So far from the collection I've gotten this year, it's the DX09 by leaps and bounds.

For me it's DX11, Luke. Then keaton batman DX12 was also nice bit way more impressive figures this year.

My DX 12 ships on Wednesday from Sideshow. I just hope that the delivery goes smoothly this time, compared to that craziness from Fed Ex .
