If I get this I'll need to buy doubles of my figures out them in there.

Exactly what I'm already doing to prepare. Except I'm going for the TFA iteration. Bought two Rey's, and gonna be using Old Han & Chewie in it with one of her figures. May put Finn in there, but kinda holding out some more hope that we get a damn Poe figure one of these days for him to display next to.

I'm just gonna leave my OT detolf alone and untouched. Really pleased with how it looks.

You know, we're supposed to believe that the crafters of the high end collectibles we love are fans...Who doesn't know that Chewie sat in co-pilot with Rey?

That's not to say that absolutely EVERYONE who handles the pieces in a large show like SDCC is a hyper fan of every license, but this is the collecting world's Main Event. You would think the HT/SS event leadership team would go through and make sure everything was right before the open. Attention to detail goes a long way in this hobby. This is not the one to phone in....

And if HT/SS is paying attention to their market, who on this forum doesn't believe they could futz Chewie better than that? Didn't they learn from ANH Chewie? People wanted to cancel him after those SDCC2015 shots came out. Why repeat the error?

Chewie was in Han's seat when he saved Rey and Finn on Starkiller (the one and only time in the entire saga we ever see him there) so I could see Rey riding shotgun for the rest of their departure especially since she was so shaken up at the time. Of course the SDCC display still wouldn't explain Finn's apparent miraculous recovery. ;)

In fact as I think about it just the way Chewie nodded to Rey when she took the pilot seat at the end did seem to convey a "you got this" vibe which also suggests that it was her first time taking the role as ship's "captain."

Exactly....which was a GREAT Mayhew moment! That's what they should have re-created (and tossed fin out, LOL!).

Agreed. The greatest "passing the torch" moment in the entire film was masterfully delivered by Mayhew (through a mask no less) in one of his only moments on screen. If his trek with Rey through space will be the last time he plays Chewie he sure went out on a high note.

Which scenes was he in?

I believe that due to his weak knees Mayhew only did scenes where Chewie was sitting or lying down. I'm not even sure it was him in the "Chewie, we're home" moment.

I was surprised because I assumed it was Mayhew for 90% of Chewie's scenes. The new guy did great.

For some reason in my mind I always lose the perception on how large these displays are. Something about seeing them online has me perceiving a size around Hasbro figures and I'm always surprised to see them in real time or comparatively displayed with other things. Given the size this must be, the actual pricing let alone shipping would be interesting to see.

It's funny cause that moment at the end was the only moment I was certain it was Mayhew. The rest I wasn't sure or was convinced it was the other guy (I should probably learn his name at some point :lol), though there were several reactions to Han that I figured were Mayhew. I'll have to watch more closely next time and see if I can notice any other likely Meyhew moments.

I thought a great "Mayhew moment" was when the gang members told Han he'd screwed them twice and Chewie nodded in agreement. And I don't even know if that WAS Mayhew. :lol

These guys keep pumping out huge vehicle designs for their displays....... so let's think about it for real.

HT always does amazing display pieces with their figures. It's like their thing. Helps the figures look cooler and sell more.

Every year they are showing us more and more vehicles. Remember the entire Millennium Falcon? Tie Fighter, the Cockpit, Tie Interceptor and now Rey's Speeder. I'm probably missing others.

I think it's pretty safe to say they are just using these as bad *** displays. None of these have been talked about more other than us seeing them in photos and some promo stuff on the web. If they become available, hell yeah awesome... but let's be fair to ourselves, dat shiz neva gonna happen bruh lolz, you better off catching pokemon than feelings over this.

Well, to be fair they said from the start that the 1/6 falcon was a show piece, pretty sure they said the same with the tie. Remember the 1/6 bat veh? HUGEEEE. still came out even though they had to make it 1/12. Reys speeder will prob see production. I think the cockpit is coming too, eventually. They did include the headsets with han and chewy. gives a little hope.

I don't think it's safe to assume that at all as far as Rey's Speeder goes. This is one of the few vehicles that's small enough for Hot Toys to actually produce (along with the Speeder Bikes), and with Rey being an ultra-popular character, I'm not at all convinced that it won't be. There's a world of difference between producing a 1/6 TIE or Millennium Falcon and a 1/6 Speeder Bike.

I don't see why they don't start out with something more manageable like the iconic land speeder. That's doable. You have Farmboy Luke, Ben Kenobi, and now, TFA droids. Why not do Luke's Landspeeder? It's a classic, simple design and smaller.
