Neither of those are done correctly scaled at any size. And not 1/6. I've had this convo with him before. He seems to think not only this but a 1/6 Milleniim falcon are possibly as well. Crazy.

If Howard makes an X-Wing or a TIE Fighter or a Falcon in the future I will quote you on every page of those threads to display your lack of faith in HT's production capabilities.

Exclusive should be the Sabaac dice dangling in the cockpit.

Seriously... even in here to?

:rotfl

Look at the pic kuat posted.... thats not even to scale.

As cool as the x-wing you posted.... thats not to scale.

To big, to much money, to little interest.

If HT does something with the Falcon and X-Wing it would probably be the same thing they did with The Bat. Shrink it down with smaller scale figures.

Jack Bauer, who seems to know a thing or two about Hot Toys' production, rejected even the possibility of an X-Wing, let alone a Falcon:

A Falcon would be over 18 feet long by 14 feet wide.

Then to make it worthwhile you have to have a fully detailed interior.

Thing is there is no precedent for this. So anyone other than Howard saying "this probably wouldn't be made" is assuming these vehicles won't get made.

The Millenium Falcon cockpit is itself an unexpected undertaking by Hot Toys.

I expected it because I think they're capable of great feats. I don't reduce them to a company only capable of 1/6 figures and small vehicles. When they began to fully pursue the Star Wars line I immediately told fellow collectors that I expected the vehicles to come next because I have faith in their abilities. The cockpit is a start. They're treading new ground here and some people are afraid of that ground.

Jack Bauer does not work for Hot Toys, therefore he knows nothing.

+1 on the Landspeeder.

Being realistic with what could work from Hot Toys:

Speederbike (3+ character compatible)
Falcon Cockpit (10+ character compatible with SW, ESB, Jedi & Awakens)
Vader's Meditation Chamber (awesome, but really only works with 1 character)
Escape Pod (droids, sand troopers)
Dewback (same problem as Vader Chamber)
Wampa (fur, articulated)
Taun Taun (fur, articulated)
Snowspeeder (would be risky)
Desert Skiff (slightly less risky)
Emperor with Throne

I bet we get at least 3 of these things :)

It might be fun to do a diorama with this concept. A behind the scenes kind of display with a cameraman, old school bluescreen lit up and everything...

Desert Skiff and Escape Pod would be way to long, over 4.5 feet each.
Snowspeeder would be over 2 feet, possible, but seems doubtful, best bet would be a dio of the cockpit.
Landspeeder would be 1.8 feet, probably the best bet for a full size vehicle.

Taun-Taun is perfect as is from SSC as is the speederbike. I don't think they would produce those in the near future since SSC have done both of those just this year.

Dewback and Emperor with Throne has been done by SSC already, but could use updates, same with Jabba and his throne. Secondary market prices are insane for these pieces and there would be a demand.

Wampa would be great to go with SSC Hoth Han and Luke.

Snowspeeder (would be risky)

I don't see the risk. There are at least 100 members of this board that would buy it (myself included).

HT starts releasing these ambitious vehicles and clientele they never knew existed will step forward. With any other franchise, I would agree with it being risky. This is Star Wars.

Because 100 of these would make a profit right? Hot Toys would need to sell many many more than 100 in order to profit.

I responded to you as you wished earlier and you ignore the post.

Was there a 1/6 Bat prototype at one point...?

If Hot Toys did make a 1/6 Falcon, it would be because George Lucas wanted to get rid of some of his cash from Disney.

Actually he donated the proceeds to an educational foundation. So regardless of what you think of him as a director, you can't fault him as a human.

I think Snowspeeder would be risky because you'd really only display it with Luke in his cold weather flight suit. And it's not hugely iconic like the Batmobile, Falcon, or even the Delorean.

An articulated Wampa (the original version, with fur) would be killer. That'd work even for people who are just fans of cool monsters.

I bet we eventually get Falcon cockpit, Landspeeder, and Emperor with throne.

The Bat was going into production but they got cold feet with shipping costs and quality control. They really dropped the ball with that one as it would have been their most ambitious undertaking to date.
