I know some folks get fed up with Hot Toys dedication to the Iron Man franchise, but I ain't one of them. So if you are with me read on... if not, move along, there's nothing for you here :)

Nice pictures. I think this is one of the weakest of the HT Iron Men, with the BD Mark III being the worst.

As always great review Jeff. I too have been excited for all the suits, so all I can say is bring on the Monger!!

This is all just my opinion, but I think the waist is too small (hard to imagine a person fitting in the suit with those proportions) and the lines on his face are too pronounced.

this is the portable version for rapid deployment not the full blown armor as the other marks, the suit suppose to be tight fitting and hug the body, look in the movie how the suit went on his body in the race track scene.

I think this is one of the better versions of the mark series, the amount of details in the armor is amazing.

ps i need to double check my box but dont remember this one comes with a face sculpt... i think the review just put the head from a different version in the photo...

I agree with the fittings looking too tight and the lines on his face being too pronounced; however, if Hot Toys were to make a stubby looking realistic Mark Suit, it would not be appealing and would not sell as well. Robert Downey Jr. isn't even a lean guy so if you're asking HT to produce one that is 1:1 scale realistic, we'd all have a short stubby Iron Man.

Agreed. If you put this side by side with the VI or the IV, the proportions look good actually, considering it was never designed to be as bulky as the other marks in the first place. I actually thought HT got the proportions right for the Iron Man 2 line ever since the BD Mark 3 fiasco.

Hi Jeff,

Did your Mark V's left arm has a darker red paint (on the side) than the other arm?
Not as far as I was aware, I'll have to check it out later.

Say it ain't so!

That's one of the reasons I love it, the super sleek silhouette makes him stand out in the line up... and I LOVE the mask too.
