Display value's a bit of a mix of production quality and play value, I don't consider it a separate thing. As far as display pieces go, I think they look euqal because they're both very well made and very nicely represent the characters. The only slight edge is your display options are more versatile with the T-1000 because of the extra parts he comes with, but once you've chosen your look, neither figure stands out much from one another as far as quality, the T-1000 might get slight edge because of how odd donut heads and split heads and hook arms look next to a whole dude in a biker outfit.

So for those that have both the T-1000 and T-800, which one do you like more?

I have been thinking about that ever since I got my two T1000 figures.

Here is what I love about the T800:
-Better TT body and I love how heavy he is.
-The leather gear has more complex/interesting tailoring compare to the police uniform of T1000,
-IMO, the T800 paint job is more detailed and realistic than the T1000.
-and it's Arnie!! :wink1:

For the T1000:
-It has a more accurately proportioned head sculpt.
-You can create more looks with him.
-it comes with two heads and tons of accessories, so it has better "fun" factor.

At the end of the day, they are both amazing figures. I think the T800 is more impressive because it portrays Arnold in his signature role at the peak of his career, but the slightly squished head sculpt and the slightly over- exaggerated facial wrinkles hold him back from being a perfect figure....but its o so close!

You missed out display value. ;)

I'm making good use of the T-800 arm as a little display. I've been doing up an old wooden curtain pole, square base, drilled, sprayed silver for a mini stand to plug the endo arm in and weathering up the arm with tamiya silver thats currently unfinished.

I'll pop it in front of Arnie since he already has the box roses accessories.

Now that's a sick display. Well done.

Slight edge to Arnie for me. Both are amazing though.

Yup......

I do like the dual display option on the T-1000 though. But overall, tailoring, (and weight of t-800) wins out. T-1000 still awesome figure. I keep playing with mine. Face sculpt is amazing

I'm becoming less and less of a fan of UPS. My T-1000 shipped on Tuesday, and won't arrive until Monday. Freakin' international shipping sometimes takes less time than that. USPS almost always gets their stuff delivered to me in 2-4 days, even from across the country (even parcel post/first class packages usually get to me quickly). Why does it take a week to ship something from California to Louisiana? Screw you, UPS. You go to hell.

Anyone who didnt know Alteregocomics got ther stock of T-1000's in on Wensday... But only part of there shipment so if your one who orderd way late like me last week or the week before yours wont ship until next week... I got this info form the dealers section where I asked Alterego about it...

I've been thinking about shipping costs with figures more and more. Air freight from Hong Kong gets to me in 3-5 days and costs about 35 bucks, Toys2 runs me 25 and takes like a week and domestic is about 12-15 and takes anywhere from 3-7 days.... Going direct from Hong Kong doesn't seems like such a bad idea lately, especially when I can get things two months early....

I agree with everything you say here. I have one nitpick about the T-1000 though - the hair reaches too far down the back of his head, looks kinda odd. Also it goes into a point whereas Robert Patrick had it cut across in a straight line. Yes its a nitpick, I know its a nitpick so no jumping on me anti-nitpicking squad. :wink1:

Good point. You wait an extra 3-4 weeks or so to get the item shipped, then have to wait another week to receive it, in order to save $15 or so? Lame.

UPS, you go to hell.
