Thanks You're really gonna love him. He's going to look great in your Depp collection. I was watching Benny & Joon last night and was thinking how much I'd love a figure of Sam!

Sideshow usually sends out a notice a couple of weeks ahead, and don't think anyone's received one yet.

Well this got released like a what a week or 2 after Zod? We just got our Zod shipping notices on Friday so I bet we get the Tonto notice in about a week or two as well

I'm regrettably not up to the task of reading all 27 pages of the thread, but why have these figures been delayed so long?

Also, for my money, NECA's face sculpt is better.

That said, the Hot Toys version features some lovely accessories!

Those are some awesome shots Monte! Is that where they shot the movie?! Lol Necas is nice but you just can't beat hot toys. And headsculpts always look way better in person since the macro shots aren't what the human eye sees.

Huh. I wonder how much that ends up costing them; had these been available just as the movie was hitting, they'd have likely sold better.

Necas is nice but you just can't beat hot toys. And headsculpts always look way better in person since the macro shots aren't what the human eye sees.

I'm sure the texture on Tonto's face paint is more perfectly duplicated on the Hot Toys version (although at less than 10% of the price, NECA's is stellar), but the underlying resemblance to Depp just isn't there in the HT Tonto. It reminds me of their Dwayne Johnson Roadblock figure. Just something off about the likeness.

As for the NECA having a better Depp likeness and the HT having no underlying resemblance, I can't agree with that. It's the other way around for me. HT looks just like Depp (especially in hand) and the NECA looks like someone dressed up as Tonto. I think Roadblock was pretty spot on too.

NECA makes good stuff. I like the 1/4 Mark VII and Pacific Rim figures. Have collected some figures from other movies too. I have heard from some folks that their Predators are better than HT in some ways. But with Tonto, they haven't been able to do a good job.

I guess I'm in the minority. To me the HT Tonto is the one that looks like someone dressed up as Tonto. I don't see Depp there at all.

It's more so the expression hot toys went with. I prefer the neca expression. Anyone have the 1/4 neca tonto?

Awesome figure. My daughter (10) thought it was Depp from the movie. She asked if I was getting the Lone Ranger - "I hope, so, honey, I hope so".

I usually dont debate people on their own opinion, but I seriously dont know how you could think that. Even if HT's looks nothing like Depp, it's still leaps above that NECA POS. That's gotta be one of their worst figures to date.

I own the Neca Lone Ranger Series 1 and 2 figures. As much as they are great. Definitely the Hot Toys Tonto blows the Neca version out of the water. That being said it doesn't take away the fun from the Neca version. Still awesome figures. Lone Ranger especially isn't accurate but cool.
