I did see one one time for $70 but it didn't have the original box and I'm kind of crazy about having something with all its contents even if it's been used.

The McFarlane one needs lots of work to look good with the rest IMO but that depends on the person really I guess. I made a shirt and vest from scratch, added fake buttons to the outer coat and repainted the head, hands and neck.

Yea the only Edward I've seen (though I haven't been looking) is "Buy it Now" for like $800 or something outrageous like that. hopefully HT makes a new one I'd by the sculpt and anything new he comes with for sure

$70 sounds like a very good price, but I can understand the box thingy. Even I am not comfortable about stuff without their boxes. Was getting the Medi NBX Jack without the coffin box for around $100 sometime ago, but opted out.

Wow! That's a quite a lot of work you did there on Victor! I wish I had the skills. Do you offer customizing stuff? I'd love to send him to you if I am able to score one sometime.

Given HT's track record, I sincerely hope that they re-release Edward. Also, I wish they make Mad Hatter too! Although, Medi did a fairly good job, I'd like to see HT's take on him (maybe with the chair).

Yup... Three figures that's all I ask. Three figures! How do they infest time and money into Tonto and think it will make more than Catwomen. But I know that it is Disney and HT is forced to bend over and down on knees now if they want to be part of Star wars.

My friend canceled his order for the Hot Toys Tonto, so it looks like I won't get to photograph him, but I haven't seen anything yet to convince me he's half as good as NECA's.

Okay… a few shots.

I have to admit… I'm not loving this as much as I thought. He's just got this really blank expression that makes any dynamic posing look really weird. So.. I'm sticking to him just standing around. These shots are prior to him being futz around with. These are straight out of the box.

There's also something off about his hair.. it's a bit flat. Or some of it is missing. It doesn't quite look right.

I may try again this weekend but.. I don't think i'll get much better.

Your skills are considerable, but there are limits to what one can do; this figure simply offers so little to work with.

You're spot on about his mannequin-like expression.

The paint applications on the face are haunting as usual, although the end result looks nothing like the character or the actor. Beyond those amazing paint apps, there is literally not a single thing I prefer about the Hot Toys figure. The proportions of the limbs to the torso are better on the NECA figure, the size of the head in relation to the body is better on the NECA body, the likeness is better on the NECA figure... and it cost less then 10% what the Hot Toys figure costs.

I still wish I'd been able to photograph him, just to see what I could have made of him, but man, it's an off-puttingly gangly, awkward, ugly toy.
