Thing is, Loki and the helmet are made for each other. With Thor, you don't really compromise his look by taking it away. I learned that from Ultimate Thor.


Marvel actually used Ultimate Thor as its main source of inspiration for Thor's look.

Hiddleston looks awesome with the horns. Hemsworth looks better sans helmet.

I always thought it was the Strazynski's run on Thor as the inspiration

Maybe the chain mail and the cape, but that's it. Hemsworth literally looks like Ultimate Thor.

Whedon actually doesn't care for the chain mail and tried to drop it all together in the first Avengers but they wouldn't let them. He pretty much got his wish in AOU.

I agree with Whedon, the chain mail is pointless.

Yeah I thought JMS/Coipel's designs were the major basis for the movie Thor. The main time where I REALLY saw Ultimate Thor was his appearance in the in helicarrier in the first movie.

HAHAHA ME TOO!!!!! Tom was clearly having so much fun. He even does the "ha-haaa" in The Avengers as well! I seriously love that guy.
