Here's what I did

Cut the bottom corners of the hood, shoulders, and chest off ( stitching that is , not the actual fabric )

Simple, don't go too crazy with it guys keep it basic, all that it needs so it looks like you didn't do anything at all and it was designed that way

Looks like I didn't touch it at all

But..

Now the hood is more dynamic like when he was reflecting blaster bolts and the hood kept getting tweaked

Wow that looks great man. Thanks for the response.

Just him and he is so cool.

Honest question as this is my first Star Wars figure. How do you guys photoshop the sabers to look like the movie?

I can't find a bad angle at all with this guy, especially after the mods. The beauty of this is it so basic and simple in design but gives so much realism in standard posing..

And I can still put him in extreme poses and still makes its mark IMO

I can't get my zipper on the sleeve to zip all the way back down so it's stuck like half way now because I don't wanna break it.

I leave mine partially up, it can zip up fine but it's just a hassle to unzip it to switch arms or light the blade, but will admit that the non ignited arm is a bit easier to zip up manly because the hands on that are changeable

Mine was that way initially as well. Just keep working it back and forth a little and it will eventually go down. I actually used pliers to grab the tab and the zipper.

I ****ed it up bad. My sleeve is down, trying to put the lightsaber arm on, removed the original arm, sleeve unrolled itself, cant roll it up because there's nothing there. So I can't get my original or lightsaber arm in. Frustrated

Wait what? Can you take a pic to see what the issue is, I think I can help if you want

You should still be able to do it. I didn't roll up my sleeve at all. Post a pic.

It sounds like he's saying that while trying to change arms while the sleeve was rolled up, the sleeve unrolled itself before he was able to swap arms. Now being that there's no arm in the joint to roll it up against, the sleeve is just free hanging.

I've already learned my lesson to not screw with 1/6 scale zippers.

Regardless of how cool a feature is, if it requires a zipper, I just don't mess with it. 1/6 scale zippers seem to be very fragile. I'd rather have a figure that I can at least display intact.

Of course! Playing around with different glow effects. Haven't figured out the perfect one yet.

You don't have too. You will find that the plastic gives out a nice illumination on its own. Just get the right lighting on the angles of the blade and shoot the pics

Non lit blade under a desk lamp

I managed to get it sorted. Pain in the ass though. Got him displayed with the light up arm and the hood cut off. Trying to get pics but having a blue room doesnt give good lighting.

Oh god, Finn is going to be horrible to deal with.

Don't give up, I want to see the pic of his problem to know for sure. I've swapped my arms back and forth over a dozen times by now since I received him last Friday and the zipper is a pain but it's a workable solution, you just have to know how to work it in. :lecture

I would assume that Finn's jacket is removable so it should be more easier to swap the arm out.
