Just hold out for the Batman Returns 2.0 with the ripped cowl and battle damage. You know it’s coming!

I feel like that ones unlikely. They'll make the suit from flash and call it a day. Why are you so confident that every figure will get reissued?

They do riessue a lot of stuff, i definitely wouldn't mind a returns 2.0 with a penguin and catwoman. But it's probably not gonna happen. We were lucky to get even a batman. I just want that penguin and catwoman

I really wish they'd do a video explaining the changes to the suit, and range of motion. I'm assuming the suit is either a rubber material with more give, or possibly (but not likely) a more film accurate suit made with a combo of rubber and lycra, but what about the joints? Did they develop a body with ratchet joints?

This is the only thing holding me back from pre-ordering at the moment.

I was so happy with DX09, and now, I see this one, and I can't stop seeing fails in DX09...

This reissue is far superior to the original IMO.

Lol I find it kinda funny. Back then I thought I’d never get a chance again but hot tots kept reissueing old figures so I was like it was a matter of time for this. Good to see the prices on eBay jumped down to 300 for the dx. Makes me happy

i find there are good things from the dx09 that the 2.0 lacks. mainly the cowl shape and the mouthplate. i think them removing the back compartment piece is good but them changing the eyehole doesn't scream 89 to me anymore. still gonna get it just because i like the seamless look behind the cowl and their decal work for moveable eyes is very good and more accurate to keaton's eyes as opposed to dx09. maybe they will change the eyeholes so cut is sharper, maybe not. they know suckers like me will get it since its a nostalgic character. unless i didn't notice they used different cowls for different shots throughout the movie where the cutouts for his eyes are more smoothed down

But although you immediately recognize Batman 89 in this 2.0, with DX09 you were able to immediately read Keaton in the suit.
It’s not so obvious with the new one.
In certain shots, the new one reminds me the Neca over textured.

But I love so much this cathedral base…

Very nice looking fig. I can’t pick up and keep the DX09 though. Maybe I can get someone to trade me a 66’ Batman for DX09. I’ll figure out how I want to list in the seller section (please don’t bash me for mentioning here) haha.

Even if I’m certain it’s gonna be a better figure in terms of « realism », articulation, way they’ve hidden the pers, paint application, it’s harder to read Keaton IMO.
Don’t get me wrong. It’s a fantastic figure, a great interpretation of Batman 89.
But although you immediately recognize Batman 89 in this 2.0, with DX09 you were able to immediately read Keaton in the suit.
It’s not so obvious with the new one.

I wouldn’t mind them making a figure MORE poseable than the 89 suit. We have the technology. Better than he was before. Better, stronger, faster….

Don't get wrong, I'm glad DX09 is not overpriced anymore, great for buddies who couldn't get him in the past.

What I try to mean is that I loved my DX09 and now, with this brand new figure, I see flawless in DX09, and want another KEATON.

But, yes, never Keaton is to much.

Why aren't we getting it now? Ford isn't picky with his likeness, hasbro and other toy companies have the rights so why not hot toys? Does he not like them?

Haha wow you are way too worked up about this But, you know what? You're right. I guess we'll have to start coming to you anytime someone thinks a likeness is off, so your eyes can look at it. That way we'll know if a company actually has the rights to the actor’s likeness or not. We could use even more of that kind of "common sense" around here. I'm glad you have this amazing gift to enlighten us at times like these.

You're right, not my finest moment there. I apologize. No hard feelings, bro. I'm currently waiting on Mezco to charge my card for their 89 Batman today, a figure that I fully expect to be the biggest disappointment in all my years of collecting lol
