The one on display has wear and tear the coloring is faded on some areas, a lot of their suits on display have began to disintegrate, they really do not take care of their stuff šŸ˜šŸ˜

My concerns with all those clear plastic parts are yellowing and cracking. Clear plastic seems to be more fragile for some reason.
Your right, all clear plastic yellows. Though if kept away from direct sun, heat and oils from your hands your talking a few years, where as if its the softer plastic like phone cases it'll be just months.
I wish they would of given it a blue hue like the Dragon Toys one so you wouldn't notice the yellowing and also would look better when the leds are off..

There's always some way for HT to disappoint, I just found out and I had to check for myself that the "Deluxe" diorama is exactly reused from the Batman XE Suit. I was already a tad disappointed the deluxe dio is basically the common base you get with pretty much all Star Wars figs.

I actually really like that they included this base with the deluxe because for one thing, I don't already own it, and for another, I think it really suits the character.

'memba all the Iron Man batteries and switches everywhere? :lol

I wish they'd make a powered base that, when you set the figure on, it would power the lights... like a cordless phone charger.
They make Gundam and Lego kit bases like that. The LEDs get enough power within proximity to the stand that they light up.

It exists. But I'm 100% confident HT has probably looked into that at some point, I'm sure there's a good reason why it doesn't work. Probably height and range from the base, and thickness of materials.

Now what I DO think is a better approach would be internalizing metal contact points into the joints, so that way they can centralize the battery/USB hub would be ideal. Then just have remotes to the USB unit. But it would require them to overhaul all their bodies; it's be something that probably can't be retrofitted.

I'm also in the camp that thinks the light up features are basically useless anyway, and that they're an added cost which is almost always useless. So if they'd drop it for painted and tinted OSL-esque decos I'd probably be happy there.

I almost always agree that light up features are a waste of time and add unnecessary expense with little payoff; however, this figure simply demands those suit lights be on to fully portray the design.

Im hopeful that he is powered purely by a usb cable and the various hoses carry internal power wires throughout the suit. From the most recent photos, it looks like thatā€™s the case.

I've never bothered to light-up anything on display... but I agree with the above that this suit requires the ability to light-up... so I have to find a way to get a very long usb cable into my detolfs somehow.

Where the heck can you find 25 foot usb cables...?

I'm probably one of the few that actually wanted the base from the regular. I like plain bases with just the movie logo and character name.
When I got my 89 deluxe figure I was wondering why the manual had the regular base featured through out, I was pretty happy and thought it was included. I was a bit let down to know it didn't come with it. I know exactly what you mean though, sometimes those DX type bases really go the extra mile with the movie logo

Detolfs have holes for wiring, shockingly enough Ikea also sells lamps with usb slots that you can connect your figures with!!

Arnold must have been generous with his licenses if we are getting figures blitz bonanza.
