April 7th and still waiting

Hey Adello, that's pretty amazing in your sig that as of June 31, 2014 you have accumulated x figures. Do you have Kitty Pride transport you to acquire more figures in a future non existent day? :rotfl This must be "Sideshow Freaks Days of Non Existing Future Past"

Just ribbing ya, but seriously need to fix your dates.:)

one could calculate the figures they would have by a certain date fairly easily, at least a few months in advance

I dunno, RDJ is a tiny little fella.

Yep. I think he could fit.

Well the actual practical screen suit that's worn, is only seen from certain angles and positions because it's huge compared to the CG version. And his head is nearly always CG'd inside the helmet, because his head is too large to fit into that helmet?

Yes, that's the practical suit which is general used from the shoulders up only, it's very bulky in comparison with the proper suit and even then augmented with CG. The shot with him siting there in the doughnut Is CG from the waist down, and only works because he is sitting and you can't see the whole body. They try to cut down VFX shots whenever they can. But every proper full body shot is CG or partial CG because RDJ would have to be skeletal to fit inside it.

Google it and you will see. The proportions of the Iron Man suits are not that of a human body. :lol

Or we could scroll up slightly

But it doesn't look "right" to the eye. Iron Man doesn't and has never been a human proportioned design, and that is the key to the appealing look of it in both comics and the films. In general the proper proportion of human body is "seven heads" tall, which is to say that their total height is seven times the height of their head. Iron Man armor is eight heads tall. So its disproportionally tall compared to head size, and the waist is narrow with broad shoulders and long legs. This is why even really good cosplay always seems a bit off, because basically no actual human being fits those "hero" measurements. When you make a suit to fit a real person it looks squat and thick.

Human proportions vs Iron Man

CG or not, if his upper torso fits I'd think his skinny legs could make do. :nana:

Again, its waaay more a proportional height issue, which is not a shot at RDJ, because no human being is the proportions of Iron Man armor. And that is also not to disparage Iron Man in general, this is a very common part of art and illustration.

Guy.... yall do realize we are talking about toys..... based on comic book characters, right?

There may be a little leeway for artistic license.
