Just wanted to let you guys know that I've just made my first accessory for 1:6 figures, and I made it specifically with the Joker in mind:

I'm kinda hoping for a good sign of this figure coming, I got a 15-20 day notice from Sideshow last night regarding my order for narrow TTs and hopefully DX Joker, who'll be receiving one, won't be too far behind.

I hope. I got my 15 - 20 day notice for narrow TT's as well. I received the same notice for my Predator 1 the end of May and two months later no figure. I won't get too excited (yet).

man the headsculpt on the Mms dx suffers from muppet syndrom just like the v1. The Bank Joker head cant be topped

^^^^, people will get riled up about anything. Aside from the eyes and clean paint app, the DX head is like, 99% the same as the BR Joker. i still can't see a difference in the sculpts.

Yeah the differences are very minor. I do believe it's a new sculpt, obviously it's new. And obviously since it's sculpted by the same person (Yuli) it's going to look the same. Why would she change it!? Most people agree it was a great sculpt so why screw with it. I agree it's the paint apps that gives the impression of an entirely different sculpt. I'd be surprised if side by side, stripped of all paint, the DX Joker head and BR Joker head were significantly different. I doubt it. Some minor differences here and there. But nothing drastic.

Judging by the way so many people were wowed by the DX Joker and TDK Batman, Hot Toys could rerelease the original costume Batman with PERS as a DX release and plenty of people will say that it looks slimmer and has improved neck length

hahhah yes couldn't agree with you more darren... well I need to give HT some credit on the Bat sculpt cos it's obviously new even without the PERS .. but this joker man... the headsculpt is mostly the same... just the lips are a bit different ....so whoever said the bank robber sculpt fails.... is maybe a bit too caught up in the hype instead of being just slightly objective


Btw.. the joker that they show in the anicom in HK (which I went twice) is the FIRST prototype and is not the same one as shown in SDCC. Consequently, the police head in the anicom looks MUCH BETTER in the FIRST PROTOTYPE than the depreciated one now in COMIC CON ( Well it's not too fair for me to say as I 've only seen photos of the SDCC one.. I am only making comments on the SDCC based on the pictures from the kind ppl who snapped them in there)

It's logical for the BR and DX heads to look alike. Unless HT went with some sort of expressive facial expression on him, which thankfully they kept it neutral, they were bound to look alike. Two heads of Heath Ledger making roughtly the same facial expression should look almost identical if the sculptor's done their job right.

very true. Also even though both heads looks extremely similar you have to keep in mind that the expressions change with the eye movements, PERS. I think both heads are great and can be used for a variety of different of different ways.

I find the BR too lmiting with the eyes the way they are, I'm so excited about the PERS technology. BR head with PERS would be great, but in the end, I'm happier my favorite Joker look is the one that's getting the PERS, the super clean makeup like the mob scene and Prewitt siege are my favorite, and this figure captures that.
