so far I have been ok with the delays but I seriously do not know how ppl managed to wait for the Tumbler for that long as compared to that this is kidsplay. I guess I could find out reading all the 4000+ postings.... someday :)

you are still assuming that the larger box isn't needed

Educated assumption though, I can see everything that comes with this set, I have experience with a number of HT figures featuring similar loads of accessories and types, everything included in this could be packed into a box of standard size.

I for one think that Larger boxes are not wanted. I hate paying for the postage! As long as the box is collector friendly and will hold all my items in place great.

It certainly doesn't seem like all the included items for DX Joker would necessitate a larger box, let alone a double sized one.

Im calling it I bet we get a 2 in 1 box deal here... One for Mob Scene Joker and one for Cop Joker... Which I dont mind at all... Hottoys boxs always rock...

Exactly, other than the alternate head and cop hat, you could pack all the accessories in a fairly compact tray along with the extra outfit in the same tray and fit it within a box the size of John Connor or Marcus Wright.

You guys have probably already seen this but on the hot tos facebook page they confirm that it will be release this week or next under one of the questions. I say by next Thursday it will be out.

Then again this info is coming from the same people who said it would be out End Q2 – Early Q3, 2009. :lol

Nah seriously though, if it's released within that time frame how long before Mista305 starts e-mailing invoices?

I don't know how soon before shipping he sends out, but people getting HK shipments can probably expect it 2-4 weeks after HK shops have it.

I don't mind the box mainly because I'm buying one of the DCD's from my LCS and don't have to worry about s&h,I can see your complaints though, and you make valid points as size ×2=shipping ×2

It wouldn't effect shipping to you, but I imagine local shops will charge more for the item even off the shelf as it will cost them more to bring it in.

Educated assumption when dealing with a standard MMS. I think the box will be more of a deluxe style for a DX. Not really sure what the point of our conversation is anymore.... This damn figure has everyone going crazy.... :horror

Running out of things to talk about until it's released :lol

As for the box, yes my educated guess is for a standard MMS, but DX or regular MMS doesn't change the physical items going into the box, and that's the point I'm trying to make, regardless of what sort of figure this is, the items that come in the set as we're expecting (no second TT included) could be fit into a standard box for the sake of keeping things smaller and reduce shipping charges, anything done to the box just because it is a DX is wasteful extra just to be fancy.

Dude, totally. :lol

Yeah, we're getting the shaft. I agree.

So who did you order through Maul? Toys2? They generally charge me about $25 to ship one figure, and I've never bought more then one at a time through them. Are they then charging double that for a Joker DX to the states?

Yeah I went through Toys2, they're my number 2 go to site for stuff, Sideshow being number 1.

Here's the thing, when everyone ordere Joker, before like the past 2 weeks, I get the impression Toys2 had a set of specs from HT for shipping estimates and orders were placed at that ammount.

Now I wonder, will Toys2 just honor the original price or will we find that our final charges are higher because of the increased fees to Toys2. I'm ok if the charges are higher, though I feel like really, HT should be the ones to eat the bill if the box is significantly different from what they told vendors for preordering, but if we do get the extra charge, it'd be nice if Toys2 sent notices saying so ahead of time rather than when we get our ship notices, check our cards and find more money gone.

I would think Eric will let you guys know but assume he ain't saying anything until HE sees the actual product in HK first :D everything is still rumor mill until the first unboxing.
Hey maybe they doubled the size to have a solid box this time? Or maybe the whole delay was to incorporate your idea of a remote controlled PERS system and hence the larger requirement of the box :lol

If next week is raging, I don't know what word describes when we actually get our figures.

Of course, innevitable head banging comments will be coming from people that are getting DCD shipments and wish they weren't :lol

Yeah, the lid on the pot will blow off once we actually get the figure in-hand, but I think there is a huge sense of anxiety over whether or not DX Joker will actually be released next week. HT says yes, so I'm hopeful.

I just want to see in-hand pics more than anything else. Impressions.
