hey guys, I think my joker needs/deserves a better shirt so just though I'd ask this here: Anyone in the US have an extra DX joker shirt or some other accurate joker shirt that's better than the V1 and not the really light blue looking BillyB shirt? Maybe the darker BillyB shirt? That V1 shirt he has on now is really starting to bother me. anywhoo PM me if so. thanks

Thanks for the feedback Gipetto. There may be things I could do to messy it up a bit or give it some varying length, but honestly, I'm pretty content with the way it is. The thing with Heath's hair throughout the film was how varied the lengths were:

totally true about Jokers many different hair styles throughout the movie. it was super hard deciding which one to do for mine, and I think it needs a bit of a repaint to it when I get time. but hey man as long as you're happy with it that's all that matters bud. I don't think any of my customs stay the same very long as I'm always messing with them, so i think my OCD just kicked in

I am in the same boat. I wasn't in to collecting Hot Toys until a couple months ago. I want the DX, but don't want to spend $300 on it. I will probably go the "Cheaper" route and get a V1 and buy a DX head or Bank Robber head, or just buy Bank Robber Joker. Quick question, the Bank Robber Joker's hair is not green though, correct?

Some of them are brown some of them have a slightly dark green color. The paint apps on the BR head vary a lot... I think they have batches with different paint apps or something. I've found that the ones with brown hair has better face paint apps than the dark green haired ones.

DX01 was my first HT piece, and I had to get him on the aftermarket since I didn't buy him until about April.

Getting into this can definitely be rough, since you have to play catch-up-and-overpay. But then when you place your first pre-order... that's a great feeling.

Okay, here is some more shots. I've adjusted the hair color, and messed with some of the placement of the hair strands. I think I may be done, and if not I might blow my brains out! This has been an ongoing project since March I believe? I don't really remember, but it's been a long time.

I started working on some real hair too a couple of days ago, though I wanted to try out on a spare head before possibly messing up my Joker (though I have spares just in case ).
This is my first try, don't mind the hair color, I have some with a better color, but didn't want to use it yet. I'm not sure yet if I want to use hair exclusively, or do the roots with sculpey (like mokneyrobotmaster's version).
I didn't use any gel yet either, only washed it with water to get the right look, I think it turned out quite well for a first try.

I do reckon though (and I don't often 'reckon' ) that you should do it all darker and more brown. It'd blend so nicely and be completely spot on. The green is only really a tinge kind of noticeable in direct light, I think it is still a bit too vibrant.
