Well idk who Matt is, but he's no me :lol

Like I said in my previous post, my avatar is from my assignment that I had due yesturday for my computer graphics course. Mine was 8x8 not wallpaper size. All I did was simply take the screencap of joker laughing in the truck, and the hand from the image/poster that covers half his face. Mirrored the hand and pulled it over. Then tweaked all the colors. It seems like a little bit but man that crap took me like 6-7 hours to do b/c it was my first time working with Photoshop

But eh I can also show you guys the rest of the assignment too if you want. It's not as cool as the Joker but eh. I will not lie though, I had my older brother (animator/character designer) help me alot :lol

Wow so you both had the same brainwave - that's quite cool.

That little clip of him laughing in the truck 'WOOhaHaaa Haa haa' is one of the best moments of the film IMO

I know! It's my favorite laugh of the film which is why I chose that scene. But I felt that it needed something more to it b/c my professor isn't too keen on the idea that "less is more" which he still thought there could be more to it which I'm sure there is, but I didn't want to over do it then it just looks likes colloge

Yeah - one of the disappointing things about the film (one of the only disappointing things) was that there could have been more shots of the Joker laughing, the EPIC laugh from the first trailer and the teaser trailer were not even in the final cut!

exactly! the laugh from the first trailer is what sold me on Heath Ledger being able to do this role right! i was quite disappointed when it never happend in the film

I'm pretty sure that the laugh of the second trailer is the same that the one after "I'm a man of my word!" remixed ;)

There was a lot of stuff in the trailer that never made it into the film.

Some lines were altered to be less cool, and some lines for whatever reason were in the film, but spoken differently and didn't sound as good.

One example is:

In the trailer: "A year ago these cops and lawyers"

In the film: "Let's wind the clocks back a year"

Line and voice in the film sound less epic.

All these are up on the bay right now. 7toys7 is offering free shipping. Prices are a little high but u won't find em anywhere else. Good luck.

Ugh, I'm so upset about the change in 7toys7 Ebay store shipping policy. It's not really "free shipping."

They used to charge a price per item to ship - and each item had a reduced rate which was used instead if it was bought as an additional item with one or more other items.

So if a trinket cost $5 to ship and had a reduced price of $1.5 to ship, I could buy three trinkets for a total shipping of $8 ($5 + $1.5 + $1.5). It worked for multiple different items too - the first item you bought used the standard shipping rate and the subsequent items bought in the same order (even if different items themselves) were shipped at the reduced rate.

Now 7toys7 just incorporated the standard shipping rate as part of the "item cost" - each item went up in price by exactly the amount of the standard shipping rate, so shipping is labeled as "free." But this means that you can't get reduced shipping prices if you order multiple items, since each is now "priced" at the standard rate of shipping.

I used to buy a lot of 1/6 parts for customs, etc. from 7toys7, because of the reduced shipping deals - it was worth it to buy lots of items from them in one session, even if some items individually cost more than they would from other sellers, since the savings on shipping made it worth it.

Now, I order from them a lot less.

wow i had no idea! that makes sense! u do free shipping u dont have to reduce the shipping for combined items! whata rip off!! thanks for the heads up! although not ALL his stuff has free shipping! just the really good sellers, like dx joker parts for instance! whata ******!

friggin sweet pictures!

I was feeling pretty overwhelmed with all the custom stuff coming out recently. Seeing those and the fact that the scarecrow mask isn't fabric has really started to make me realize that I feel really really happy with the stock figures.

Maybe a new body for two face though..

what body type does the dx01 use, would narrow body work with the clothing

nm I searched topic and found narrow is correct

Do any of you feel weird buying loose parts from china or the places where the factories are? Like I get the sense that these parts are like "knock offs" or something that didn't meet the quality control standard.

I've never had that issue. A lot of the parts I've acquired are very specific - you can't "fake" them easily, if at all, and quality has never been an issue.

The reality is that a lot of the 1/6 stuff is over in Asia - so a lot of the retailers who sell parts are also going to be based there.

I usually compare my parts from those kinds of sellers! and usually it meets the quality, sometimes better quality. i feel the same way though. like some of their parts are recasts or something!

Damn it! My P.E.R.S. broke but luckily it's only the stick and the eyes are still connected. Urgh... Luckily if I put the stick in his eyes still move. Whew! It was a close one :(

dont fret, i intentionally broke the PERS on my second joker head. you get more options and freedom with eyeball rolling.:wink1:

Been a while since I've been here, but I picked up some cheap 12" figures (World Peacekeepers) for some gear that I threw on the Police Joker figure, for an "on the set" Heath Ledger.
