I think it's perfect! Adam's unbelievably talented. Thanks my man!

Incredible! (apart from slight nose comment).

I can't beleave Adam is not part of Hot Toys team???, he's a REAL ARTIST!!!:wink1:

Hopefully this doesn't sound like it's belittling Adam's talents, but like anything, comparing custom work and mass production isn't always fair to the mass production artists. Adam has the luxury of taking his time, reworking it, making it what he wants it to be, he doesn't have to cater to the demands of a license holder, turn out a head in a specific time frame. I'd like to see what the sculptors that work for the manufacturers could do given the freedom and time to just sculpt a nice head of someone.

You need new friends.

I would have trouble being sure it's one and the same person if I did not know about Heath being in the movie.

Ok, viewing those other pics, yeah, it's an incredible sculpt. The paint job isn't amazing, but the sculpt is. And phooey about Adam having more time than Hot Toys sculptors. The Hot Toys sculptors know their work is going to be mass produced, I suspect they are given as much time as they need to make the best sculpt they can. Adam is just better, end of story. He's even said before a typical sculpt doesn't take him longer than a couple weeks -- the same amount of time quoted by Yuuli in an interview.

I agree. Hot toys's Yuli sculpted 5 joker heads all together(V1, Bank robber 2heads, DX 2heads). Except for the V1 sculpt, she pretty much just kept refining the bank robber head to the final DX head. From V1 to DX, it's about 3 years. I think that's enough time to finish a decent Joker sculpt imho.

He should seriously apply for a job in like SSC or HT's sculpting department. He could become famous! lol. But in all seriousness he should

Thanks guys. I appreciate all the compliment and criticism.
I'm a full time college student so time is extremely limited. At this point this is just a hobby. I am planning on trying out jobs though.

My only advice would be to finish your education first and then go where your heart takes you - there's not many people in the world that are fortunate enough to be able to make their passion into a viable long term career

Because you think that was all she was working on during those 3 years?

I agree with that, I know a couple of guys that worked for NECA and they've told me that they have no final say in their work. It's up to the big wigs that run things and companies that own the licenses.

mouahahahaha A perfect sculpt again!
Seriously, Adam nailed all the batman line one character after one!
Now I see the interest to have a cop version! This IS just Heath there!

He's [Adam] even said before a typical sculpt doesn't take him longer than a couple weeks -- the same amount of time quoted by Yuuli in an interview.

The difference is pressure. Just like it's easier to "play" a game show in the comfort of your home as opposed to playing it live, in front of an audience and millions of people watching. Pressure.

The fact that Adam (or any customizer for that matter) can create something faster or within the same time frame as a paid professional is irrelevant since they're not under the same amount pressure and they're not working within the same margin of error.

If a indy customizer F's up.. oh well. They start over. If a paid pro F's up.. it could mean their job. Not even remotely the same conditions.
