Not sure if you are targeting Fabio or me here, but censorship and staleness are not goals here. However, there are certain threads devoted to certain topics, and in order to make the board navigable, and in order to minimize clutter and redundancy, folks should stay on topic for the most part (particularly in non-sandbox threads).

Of course, threads go off course and can have lively (even heated) discussions, but this thread went off on the custom head debate for long enough, and if there is more of that to be had, that's fine. But this thread isn't the place for it given that there are apparently other, existing threads for such discussion. If you have any further questions, feel free to ask me via PM.

I wasn't "targeting" anyone Karamazov. I was joking, sorry if it didn't come across that way to you.

Do you really think members discussing Dx01 body parts and fixes, mix and matching clothing, touching up it's sculpt etc is out of place in a DX01 thread?
If so I don't really understand. Have a look at the DX Indiana Jones thread, or the HT Tron Kevin Flynn thread (adding lighting elements, new head sculpts), DX Pirates (repaints, resculpts) thread in fact any of the other HT threads?
Why is it different in the DC thread?, I really don't mind, I just don't understand what the difference is.

Peace.

The issue is disregarding the DX figure entirely and focusing on comparing and running down various customs. And I believe this discussion has also run its course, so if you would like further clarification, again, send me a PM. I think my point is clear, and we don't need to waste more time in this thread discussing it.

So ..how about them pers eh?
I actually tried to move my Joker's eyes a bit a couple of days ago, and his eyes look wonkier than ever. Bah. I'm not really a fan of the PERS system in my experience with the Batman figures.
No problem. All I'm trying to do here is maintain some semblance of order to the threads here. Again, I'm not trying to censor anyone or to say that this thread has to be narrowly focused on the stock DX figure.

I could be wrong but I think you may be missing on Calcifer's Irish sarcasm.. I know, I'm Irish too...:wink1:

I really loved the PERS when I first got the figure, but after about a month I was over it. It also started bugging me that the eyes are a bit over sized (you can really see when you hold the DX head next to the cop head). IDK, after awhile the DX head just started looking like a wrinkly old man or kinda like Gullom in Joker makeup. :lol I think it was a neat gimmick, but not a necessary addition to the figure. In fact I think the sculpt would have been better with out it.

Just want to tell you that I have been very pleased with your moderating over all. Keep up the good work. :duff

Oh yeah, and I still love my DX01. :)

I got the sarcasm, but chose to answer in a non-sarcastic way ;)

And to throw my own off-topic discussion here briefly--I've also been to your country and loved it. Galway, particularly, was a very nifty place.

Gotta agree with you there. Loved it at first, but now I see painted eyes as superior.

So, I have a DX head and accessories on the way. Can I get a V1, put the DX head on it, place the grenades in the coat and be done with it? I'm not really into accuracy all that much. I just want a complete figure. Any pics of the DX head on a V1 outfit? Thanks. Oh and I love my soon to arrive DX head and accessories.

I don't have pics, but I previously did that with a DX head, and it looked fine if you don't mind the V1 outfit. Regarding the grenades, you'll really need the DX coat unless you want to literally pin them inside the old V1 coat.

I don't think you really want to get the V1 outfit. It's not only innacurate, but the clothing is just cheap quality.

Ya Morgul many are selling there dx coats now due to the kato gear upgrade..you should pick up a dx coat instead.

I'll probably be selling off my PERS head. I like it, but the novelty wore off about ten minutes in.

I have the good Bank Robber sculpt, and a MRM sculpt coming (SORRY FOR MENTIONING A CUSTOM SCULPT!!!!!!!), both of which are upgrades.

I haven't thought PERS added much to a figure yet besides the quickly-worn-off novelty. Indy looks like a pretty good implementation, but I guess I'll have to see more pictures to decide.

I am also putting together a joker figure. Just waiting on the shoes and accessories. DX Clothes +Bank Robber head+ Truetype Advanced = My joker is better then yours :)
