Sorry to bump an old thread. Let me start by saying that I have limited display space at home, so I keep a lot of my collectibles in storage and switch my display piece every now and then. I have two DX jokers that I have left in storage in months...I have barely touched each one of them. Last night I decided to take one out and have a pose around with it....and what do you know!? The bloody right eye just stopped moving all together!!!!! _____***! I take great care of my collectibles and always handle them with care, I understand that they are not cheap robust toys, so I always handle them as carefully as I could. This is just unacceptable, I hate to rant but this is not a cheap collectible, if I pay good money for something, I expect them to not just break down within a year or so...like I said, I rarely even touched them and when I do, I always handle them with care. The problem is that I have had the DX01 for over a year now and I did not buy it directly from Hot Toys store (got it from a Hong Kong toy dealer), does anyone know if this is still replaceable? I am very angry and disappointed about this... Take extra extra care handling your dx joker everybody :(

No it's not replaceable. But it IS fixable.

You're going to have to remove the P.E.R.S. to see exactly what the problem is.. but it sounds like one of the eye joints are broken. Same thing happened to a guy over at ToyWorld. Hopefully these pics will help you out:

So that's the Do-it-yourself method.

Yep I feel your pain bud. Go back a couple of pages and you'll see my posts of my broken PERS. I hardly ever moved mine and took extreme precaution because I knew this was a problem. Yet another incident that throws that whole" you play with them too much, your being too rough with the PERS" argument out the window.

I got my DX Joker when it first came out and my PERS still hasn't broken. Maybe because once I got a position for the eyes that I liked I left it alone. :lol

Same here.

I have two figures, messed around with the PERS on both and never changed the position again. They aren't broken and I'm not even tempted to move them.

Here's a suggestion to those that own the figure that haven't broken their PERS yet, DON'T TOUCH EM! Keep the hair attached to the back and treat it as though it's a regular headsculpt.

I pretty much chose a straight on eye position and left it at that. I'm not really that impressed with the PERS feature to be honest. I could take it or leave it.

Yeah. Hell, I remember when the Bank Robber first came out some people complained that the eyes weren't in a neutral position and they preferred straight ahead. Then with PERS, they have that option but don't utilize it?

Thanks a lot everyone for the replies. Thanks devil for the link. Now that I have done a bit of research, it seems like the right eye is the faulty one on everybody's broken PERS head. I think il try to convert the PERS system to the Enterbay moveable eyes system. I know that its fixable but I shouldnt have to fix it in the first place :( Sorry to hear that the same thing happened to yours THEFIEND. I guess it just disappoints me because it’s one of those issues that you read on the thread, you are aware of the issue, so you take extra precaution...yet it STILL happens to you. bummer!

It seems like all the pers from joker and batman are defective the joker breaks and batman is crosseyed i took my batmans eyes and swaped them out so i can move them individually

:exactly: They will break

Ive never touched the PERS on my DX Bats... My Jokers broke and I have to pose each one now... Try and get the eyes looking straight ahead when you have move them one at a time not as easy as it sounds... But I finally got it right... Havent touched them since...

Yeah now that you mention it, I havent heard anyone complain about the PERS on batman. Man,can you imagine having a DX batman with oily abs AND a broken PERS? I would not be a happy camper.

So that's the Do-it-yourself method. You could also look into getting the head replaced by HT or whoever you bought it from.

Is your DX Joker head repainted in that pic?

It's not mine. It belongs to some dude on the ToyWorld board.

And yes he did repaint the head. I posted the pics of it in this thread somewhere.
