Ah well that might explain it, yeah.
Didn't mean to sound rude, it's just a pet peeve of mine when foreigners say things like "Germans do this or say that". BTW, I'm German myself, I'm just currently studying in the Netherlands.

You might be aware of the British (ie Anglo) perception that Germans don't have a very sophisticated sense of humour. I came across this article in The Guardian that relates this perception back to the imprecision of the English language compared with the comparatively very precise German language. I still like the joke about the adopted German kid though

That was a pretty good read.
And it does raise some very good points, especially about there being no good stand-up comedy as in other countries ("mainstream, low-brow comedy tropes in the form of vulgar popular entertainers" pretty much hits the nail on the head on that one). And his story about the bombing joke on his first night out is a pretty good example that sarcasm plays an important role in german humour.

Well, I just put in a request to cancel this. I will probably be avoiding the DC section so I don't torture myself. If I still want it post-2013 I guess I'll pay the then going rate but unfortunately I can't get it now. Thank you for reading. That is all. *trudges off out*

Ultimately yes. I know I would have loved this figure and perhaps still will one day but now unfortunately is not the time.

The conundrum I face is that I didn't get a TDK Bats... so now I have a half set.

I didn't get a Bats either, only ordered Joker as a representative of the franchise. Three reasons to that, actually: TDKR Bats has a horrible sculpt, Joker has an amazing sculpt, and Bane didn't turn out so good.

I knew you were looking forward to it too. Kinda makes me glad I'm not a completist. I can't really afford to be anyway. But if this and the DX13 arre the only figure I buy next year I will be a happy man. Unless HT comes out with another awesome OT Star Wars figure or something.

There's a few MMS71 Dark Knights on ebay for 275-330 range. Still a very good figure and doesn't have the oil leak problem like the DX Bats

Joker is cool as a stand-alone character imo. I have OC Bats 'cos I dig the costume, but I just can't stand the TDKR costume. I'm pretty much alone in thinking it among the truly awful contemporary superhero costume designs.
