Thats what I'm doing. The V1 looks pretty good without the jackets on and the vest done up nice, not showing the velcro.

Well my DX01's eyes are all buggered up so it makes no difference to me. Hey btw, any idea on how to repair PERS?

I would seek out a V1. Like I said, the outfit minus the jackets is pretty nice. They routinely show up on here under $120.

Yeah when I get this, my DX 01 will become the grenade rig Mob Joker. Not sure what I'll make my second DX 01. I'll probably just leave it as it is, with the machine gun and the knife. I kind of want to pose this DX 11 with the shot gun.

My V1 with the Bank Robber head has always been an interrogation since I got the DX 01 years ago. I might just leave it like that, I don't care about the suspenders.

Then my two Bank Robbers will of course, remain as they are. One with the slicked back hair with mask, the other with the first main regular Bank Robber head.

That happened to mine, I got the googly eyes. Just unscrew the PERS in the back of his head and you should be able to move the eyes around to where you want them.

That reminds me that I never bought a body for my cop Joker parts. The parts are just sitting in the DX-01 box. Oh well.

Nice set up! I used to have all of those.

It's hard to believe at one time I had all the Ledger Jokers and now I have none. I never thought I'd sell them. But with the 2.0 coming out, that will make 2 figures ( I already PO'd extra parts for a second figure for the laughing sculpt) and I have a custom Joker head( with real and sculpted hair) in the making as of now I think that will be enough Ledger Joker for my limited space.

Yep. I think 2013 is definitely going to be my last year of collecting.

At the very most I'll probably buy 4-5 items next year.

At the moment DX11 is the only thing on my plate for next year. Im trying to get a new appartment so I think that'll be it.

It's funny because I seem to have the same feelings. I have stuff on its way to me and plan to order other figures but at the same time I contemplate selling everything the last several days. Weird.

I have actually sold off a lot of my 1/6th collection and to my suprise I didnt regret any of it.

Circumstances change, priorities shift.

When I started collecting, it was 2008. My love for TDK led me to 1:6 and I jumped in with both feet. I wanted one of every character from BB and TDK: custom, Hot Toys, didn't matter. My collection exploded and I spent good money, but at $145 per HT release, I could manage things. Fast forward 4 years and I'm going the other direction. Downsizing my collection and just focusing on core characters - one version of each. With DX releases pushing $300, I can only afford a couple figures a year and have had to sell off some stuff to acquire other bits and pieces. The economy and HT inflation have sucked a bit of the fun out of the hobby. I still enjoy the figures and no doubt, HT has made serious advances in likeness and quality, but like I said, priorities shift.

That being said, I still look forward to this release and feel good about it being the sole Joker representation in my line up.

You and me are the same man. I started in with TDK as well.

Not often anymore.


Back in 2008 and 2009. Most figures dropped anywhere between $60 - $100 and were brand spanking new. Two-Face, Bank Robber Joker, the V1, they all fell below $100. Even the DX 01 Joker went down. I remember getting another one new when I saw it for $130 on ebay.

The T-1000 was also a figure that was fun to buy multiples of.

That doesn't even happen anymore though, they're way too expensive now. So even if they do drop $50 or $60 bucks, in most cases they're still $200+.

2013: Black Widow, Thor, Loki, Iron Man, Hulk and Joker 2.0

I'm already thinking about quitting HT after that.
Maybe get Legolas and Gandalf if HT acquires the license,
but after that, I'm sticking back to SW.

Man...if HT got this license aside from Star Wars, its really the only other license that would pull me neck deep in. Id want any and all LOTR HT figures. Gandalf...Legolas....Aragorn...Gimli...Nazgul...Frodo...Bilbo...Gollum...Boromir....Lurtz....This would be a very slippery slope for me.
