i dont know cr0w, i find it hard to believe any joker from HT is better than an adam joker. but that's just me, maybe.

Hmm maybe this one by Adam is not as good as Hot Toys Joker 2.0?

That oval face looks really weird IMO.

In terms of likeness, I really don't think they'll ever beat his stuff. The problems I have with a good majority of Adam's stuff is that they feel very lifeless to me. His laughing sculpt and "hit me" sculpt are the exceptions, but the expression on the head I had and the majority of the others, the blank straight-ahead stare, is very much where my issues lie. I can achieve at least 4-5 different looks with my DX11 head based on the eyes and facial expression alone at different angles, and it has a lot more personality to it. With Adam's, you're stuck with one option. And, if you get a bad one, you're SOL because it's not like you can go get a replacement.

I guess I just prefer the DX11 overall because while it may not have that perfect Ledger likeness at every angle, it's much more dynamic. And it does have the likeness at more angles than it doesn't. It feels like I have a dynamic Joker on my shelf as opposed to a photograph of Heath Ledger.

That make much sense?

Darkavatar: I would say that I like the sculpt and PERS and all overall better than EB's effort for the aforementioned reasons when I compared it to Adam's. However, from the intended angle, EB's effort looks better than HT's. I just don't like being limited to one choice for my figure to look good.

:goodpost:

I know what you mean, I think Adam's main one is mainly like a museum piece that you would see in madame tussauds wax museum, where the Joker 2.0 gives more personality but I still have mixed feelings over it.

I understand, and I agree this Joker does have the best PERS on any DX I have seen but I still hate PERS, as I just think that the system IMO has not been perfected yet. Also like you said in an earlier post, the eyes on this Joker are more deep set than they should be, due to the PERS system, which may be responsible for lack of likeness :dunno

Basically I prefer how Enterbay's one looks more like Ledger while regaining some personality, so IMO you get the best of both worlds in that sense. However, you are right when you say moving the eyes gives you more options/different looks, but that is something doesn't really interest me as I would rather not have to sacrifice realism/likeness for the sake of moving eyes but each to their own. :peace

So as most of you know to your annoyance, i got a second Joker set a while back.
I used the first for my custom BoobyC head but I also wanted a stand alone set. Thankfully I sold on most of the main extra parts so it barely cost me anything at the end of the day.

Anyway my point is this, I've had the stock custom Joker 2.0 set up on my desk and whilst working over the last week or so, I've really grown to admire it. I still don't think it's a good Joker/ledger likeness but it does look really quite superb on display if futzed a bit.

I was quite surprised when I got my second set how many variables there were with paint and finish. The standard head looks better than my first one, not at all glossy in comparison, whilst my laughing sculpt has no where near as much white make up on it. I quiet like the look but not sure which I preferred (sold the earlier version). Out of the box my second set needed a lot of futzing, especially the collar and tie, first set was perfect. Anyway it's a lovely set overall. I wish everyone else had theirs so we could get a good across the board comments thing going..

Any chance for some comparison pictures?

Dont lie you love the fact you're the only one who has this  :pfft:

:lol :1-1:

Hopefully I'll have my DX11 ex. next week... Damn shipping time.. Is it because of the holidays in HK/China that things are moving so slowly?

Yeah so do I, it is a wonderful figure tailoring and all. The only thing I don't like is the vest its not tight enough. So when you pile on all the clothes the figure looks too bulky IMO. However, you made it look good Rory :wink1:

Also the coat is not good either, but we all know it wouldn't be as it is too thick and furry.

He is not the only one now :lol
