I don't understand how it can look like TDK Joker, but not Ledger ... or Ledger but not TDK Joker. Ledger was the Joker. They look the same. Its either both, or neither. Its not "mercurial". Its not a character separate from an actor. Its a performance by a person, not a performance or a person. Its a guy in makeup. It either looks like the character/ guy in the make-up, or it doesn't look like the character/ guy in the make-up. It can't look like the character, but not the guy in makeup.

I also don't understand "not everybody needs their Joker to look exactly like Heath Ledger". If not ... why buy the TDK version at all?

I like the sculpts. I think they look like Ledger/Joker. That's why I bought one. But, it sounds to me like y'all are just making this crap up, trying to find nuances where there are none.

Amen brother, it starting to get to a point where I laugh at the posts that are on this thread. It actually makes me speechless . . . IMO HTs have captured Heath Ledger's portrayal as The Joker in all the sculpts, excluding V1.

yes, i think it's mercurial and furthermore, a good performance of this character ought to be if it's done well. i am also sick of the "looks like/doesn't look like" and could give a fig.

my only point is that i like this figure and it's perfect for me and i wish ssc would just hurry up and deliver him!

according to ssc the ex is coming out in march (whatever that means) and the non-ex is coming out in april. (so said somebody else who called).

I ordered from BBTS. A few hours ago, my order was listed as shipping in March 2013 - it now says April.

Two options for shipping, one is $81 and the other is $70. Yeah, Ami Ami isn't for me.

That is crazy. I think they jacked up the shipping price since I ordered Naruto and Sasuke of last year. The EMS was around $15-$20 range at the time. Cuz when I ordered Sasuke first, he was $202 w/shipping. Then I decided to get Naruto to go along with him a couple weeks later, he cost $204 w/shipping. I emailed them why the price wasn't the same and they told me it's cuz Naruto weighed a tad bit more than Sasuke. Amiami calculate the shipping along with the weight of the package on top of that. Joker 2.0 must be pretty heavy if they gonna charge us $80+ for shipping. I emailed them last night to cancel and they said use SAL method which cost 61?? jpy compared to EMS which cost 71?? jpy. I was like really?? U barely save much using SAL and it's not safe using that method cuz it'll take weeks for it to come in, no tracking#, and no insurance. That's what I said to them. EMS is the best option I told them. And they don't want me to cancel but tried to convince me using SAL, but I told them straight up if u can find HT Bane or PAK MG Rising Raiden which are out of stock on their site, then I can buy either one of them from at any given day. So I keep y'all posted when they get back to me and see what they say.

Yeah, I checked the other shipping too. Its way to much. Bit disappointed. It was supposed to be a bday present and she was willing to pay up to $40 or so and that's what I would have paid if I was doing the buying but $80 is flippin ridiculous.

International shipping is expensive and the Joker is heavy which leads to expensive.

Sideshow has the weight of the Joker at 9lbs (which I assume they don't double box). So approximately 4kg plus packing materials and box

Yes it can, OMG didn't you have toys that represented charcters from movies when you were young? I had the 89 Batman by Toy biz and it looked nothing like Keaton as Batman but it still looked like the character from the 89 Batman film. I can tell the DX01 is the Joker from TDK but it looks nothing like Ledger IMO as the Joker from TDK.

They loved the characters/expression etc and not so much that the actor that played the character. The reason I bought the DX12 was because I like the Batman TDK suit not because I wanted Bale as Batman because it looks nothing like Bale, hence the mods on the DX12 thread. I don't really care if it doesn't look like Bale as Batman, it can look like the DC Direct head for all I care. Is that so hard for you to understand?

I like the sculpts. I think they look like Ledger/Joker. That's why I bought one. But, it sounds to me like y'all are just making this crap up, trying to find nuances where there are none.

Wow you sound like you are on such a rant, this place is for opinions and discussions if that bothers you so much then just don't read the thread. People are not making up crap for the sake of complaining they are generally saying their opinions of the sculpts. If you think they look like Ledger that is fine, but don't get so upset when people think the sculpts don't look like Ledger but still looks like the character from the TDK.

If that really bothers you so much then you have some serious issues. Everyone sees things differently. Then again I couldn't stand it when people glorified this figure on every page when I have seen so much better, but that was my problem and admit I should of said nothing.

It is all just opinions, but IMO I don't see it, not saying I am right but I just don't see it.
