My question is: Do the shoes just pull straight off like they would with the usual barbell-joint design?

Well I have never pulled the shoes off my DX EX but when I was kit bashing the other 2.0 body and putting it together I put the foot pegs into shoes, just like any other figure. So I am guessing they would just come off, the same way you put them on, since I don't see any other method to taking them off. Probably wouldn't do it until you ask someone that has done this though. Sorry I could not be more help.

Glad to help, look forward to seeing the results. :)

Here are some shots of it on the body. I used a different type of acrylic for the black this time, it's called "Grumbacher" and I got it at Hobby Lobby. It has a good shine to it once it dries that matches the way his black eye makeup looked during the mob scene.

Wow he looks phenomenal. Thanks again for the tips.

Where did you end up getting a head from?

I've heard the loose joints complaint before. I must have dodged a bullet, mine are great except for the damn ankles.

roy, what kind of risers are those? I have a PF on the bottom shelf of mine, and it's a really awkward distance between the top of the PF and the bottom of the 2nd shelf.

Sorry, I don't.

I just want to know if using force to full the shoes straight off will damage anything.

You can just pull them off (carefully) they have the "ribbed" plastic peg style for your pleasure. :lol
Ball joint with pegs, not double barbel like most of HT shoes. Welcome back Mags.

The shoes pull off very easily. The ball is not nearly as big as the "barbel" joint design.

The joint didn't come out with the shoes, I have to pull them out separately. I imagine the peg is similar to the hand pegs, just a bit bigger.

Damn, wasn't that thing like $125 or something. Their HT stuff is crazy expensive. They're fine getting the misc. shirt or gun etc. That is the only thing I use them for and I've actually found great deals. Fast shipping too.

Have you come out of semi-retirement yet, Mags? :lol

WHat'cha doing to the Joker anyway that you need the clotes and pegs off? Just curious.

thanks so much :hi5:

that is the first time i have posted pics of my batman figures

No problem.

It's not cluttered and figures are spaced out nicely. I like how Supes, Bats and Jack all have their own shelf. Nice poses on those too. I'm starting to lean toward using the regular head with the dio and Batman standing in the back. It looks pretty sweet.

Nice, clean display...well posed and balanced. :clap :rock
Amazing how much pop those Superman figures add.

Agreed. I'd say the Batman figures might just look dark, but at the very least DX08 usually has some pop. But in any case, you're eyes are immediately drawn to one of the two Supermen.
