It's just the lighting. Here is another pic from a different video with way better lighting. Looks more on par with Cody + Rex.
Maybe not 100% done, but better than those earlier pics with bright lights washing the sculpt out totally.
Eh, I disagree honestly, that likeness doesn't scream Jango or Morrison to me like the others do. I'll be keeping the helmet on even if the sculpt is a knockout though.

No I meant the detail on the face is better in that shot. I said not 100% done (with the likeness).
If they add that headpiece thing that can also change the look a bit too.
Yeah the detail is definitely there, hopefully they do update the likeness. Even though I don't want to display him without the helmet, it'd still be nice to have the option.
I had planned to display him with the helmet on but I actually quite like the pose they’ve gone for, with his helmet in the crook of his arm. Assuming that the likeness is there on the production pieces.

i saw a photO of the HT jango withThe sculpt on. it kind of reminds me of a cross between michael rooker & randy travis in that sculpt.

The headsculpt looks too soft and puffy. I thought the Rex sculpt looked better. Here, he looks more like Captain Typho.

Sculpt is soft but for this figure I won?t use it. Can?t wait to pick this up. Put it up HT, especially now that Mandos are very hot items

I do think the sideshow jango sculpt looked better.
But I do want this.

I have the Sideshow exclusive and really like it but Ducky is right you don't want to ever repose it because all of the armour falls off and it is such a pain to put back on and then pose again. So if the armour stays on it is already a winner. I do prefer the Sideshow unmasked sculpt though, in my opinion it has more intensity and and likeness to the character / actor (I also like the headset). Will definitely buy the Hot Toys for sure.
Probably will end up with two Jango figures, one unmasked with poncho and the other fully armoured up. Wish they went with the blue jumpsuit rather than the purple (like sideshow did... such vibrant purple haha), the colour gradient of the movie makes it appear blue in the earlier half of AOTC when Jango is a cooler character and not being beheaded by Mace - I want that version represented.

Maybe they didn't produce the final mold and can't produce two accurate sculpts. And instead of going for two near-final proto which would be a waste of resources, they used an earlier proto as a placeholder.

This is, what? The 3rd year we are being teased with Jango? Question is: will it actually go up for preorder?
I had the Sideshow version. The armor pieces were implemented....badly. With the sudden quality control issues, can't help but wonder if some of the changes in Hong Kong are to blame? Huge tax increase for those there now. Not sure about companies, but it can't be helping.
